Waking up from my sudden blackout, I expected to see a damaged Astro carrier. Instead, I found nothing-not even the dud's flesh.
And I do mean nothing literally. Turns out all the Astro toilets' bodies had disappeared. Even more bizarre, a quick scan showed that most of the metal in the area was gone-except for the passed-out alliance members. I was damn sure most of them were 0% alive, but my scanner said they were alive with no damage.
I started looking around again, but black smoke made me freeze as Titan TV Man stepped out. Unlike the show version, he was wrecked. His little TV screens were both broken to the point that I wondered why he still had them. His right arm was also mangled-or, more appropriately, fucked up beyond belief-which is probably why he was holding his own sword instead of having it attached. This might be the most hobo version of Titan TV Man I've ever seen. His arm seemed functional, though, so at least he didn't pull a Titan Cameraman... or maybe, since he wanted to fight with a messed-up arm, he *was* pulling a Titan Cameraman. Hmm.
"The scientists said everyone had gone offline," he said, looking around at the now-conscious alliance members getting up. Then, strangely, he looked surprised to see me.
"You're functional?" he asked. And I, like a complete idiot, nodded up and down. However, a voice spoke out for me:
"[Activation was initiated when the base was attacked by Astro Patrol. Report: all hostiles have been eliminated.]"
Titan TV Man looked at me strangely again. Then I realized something else was coming out of his teleportation.
It was a female Titan, patched together with one of the Detainer toilets' arms and some shoulder cannons. But that was it-just arms and legs. She didn't even look close to being a quarter complete. Basically, she was dog shit. However, when all the teleportation smoke disappeared, the voice spoke again:
"[Alert: injured Titan detected. Firing nanomachines.]"
The voice said this as my shoulder cannons adjusted and pointed at Titan TV Man. He didn't seem too worried about my shoulder cannons aiming at him.
Then, my cannons fired a ball of green mist at him. I looked at the mist, stupefied for a moment, before my shock grew-his wounds started mending before my eyes. His right arm, close to Titan Cameraman levels of damage, was fixed, and his two small screens became fully operational.
I stared at the restored Titan for a moment before turning to the incomplete female Titan. Now, don't ask me why, but every part of my body told me I *had* to finish her body.
My cannon turned to the smaller, incomplete female Titan. She took a step back as I stepped forward-then bolted.
I locked onto her and gave chase.
