Jacob Keyes on board the Han, a UNSC diplomatic shuttle. Their mission is to identify a potential candidate, John, for Halsey's SPARTAN-II Program. Dr. Halsey finds two kids named John and Abigail in a school playground in Elysium city on Eridanus II.
John was known for being to rough playing with the other kids seeing a couple of kids picking on the girl stealing her doll not giving it back seeing this John had to do something! Halsey witnessing this take place seeing him fight off the kids only to get the doll back helping her help Halsey catching
Here, she tests if he is good enough to be a Spartan. Using a coin, she tests John's reflexes by flipping the coin in the air and having him identify the side it will land on. John catches and correctly identifies the side: the eagle. During this time,
Halsey: “ get five out of five right you get to keep the coin.”
How to take the coin and flipped it jelly placing it on her Palm before uncovering what side it landed on John answered
” bird .”
She flips it again
" Man "
And again

Halsey: “ "Five out of five, that's impressive," she said.
"You said if I got it right, I could keep the coin."
"Yes, it's all yours, John," she cursed herself for using his actual name. She could not afford the luxury of fondness, moving on to the little girl that he helped. Walking over to her, getting down to her level, and holding up the UNSC remote. It wasn't broken, but she removed a couple of wires and disconnected them.
"Do you think you could fix this?" She looked at the remote before she took the back apart, reconnecting each wire, removing some parts, then reconnecting them back, seeing the screen pop right back up. "And what's your name?"
"Abigail," Halsey placed the remote back into her pocket. "That's impressive," curing the teacher called students back. She waved her goodbyes to Halsey, running off to catch up with John, looking at Jacob Keyes. "Please tell me you got all that..."
