Elena just arrived at the Salvatore School with Sarah I the backseat of the car with all her things packed. Finally confronting Damon about Hope after all these years was not easy. Damon even said to her, 'It's good Kol said for you to leave and run away. I think we need space from each other.' Elena didn't want to cry in the car in front of her youngest daughter. But she felt the tears coming. At least she'll be able to talk to Caroline when she gets inside, she tried to reassure herself. Elena got out of the car and took Sarah with her inside. The bell had just rang so she saw her youngest son, Zachary walking to class.
"Zach!!" Sarah says with excitement in her voice. Elena smiled at the young girl's excitement.
"Hey, lil sis. Hey, mom. Uh what are you two doing here?" Zachary comes over to them.
"We're going on a little vacation. For a few days with your uncle Kol." Elena said.
"And you're pulling us out of school?" Zachary asked.
"Yes. I know I've never done this before, pulling you guys out of school just to go on vacation, but I kind of need too." Elena said.
"Alright. I'll go pack my stuff and tell the others. How long are we going on vacation for?" Zachary asked.
"For a while and you guys will be out of school for a while too." Elena replied.
"Where's dad, mom?" Zachary asked noticing Damon wasn't with them.
"He's at home. He'll meet us at the lake house later." Elena said.
"Okay." Zachary says, Elena knew Zachary was suspicious. Zachary was really smart and he was able to point out the even the smallest details in important things like this. Out of all her children, Elena thought Zachary looked and acted like Damon the most. They had the same humor, same attitude, even the same personality.
After seeing Zachary, Elena went to Caroline and Alaric's office to tell them she's going to be taking the kids out of school. She also told them that both Klaus and Damon found out about Hope.
"How did Damon take it?" Caroline asked.
"Not well." Elena said.
"And Klaus?" Alaric asked.
"Kol said he's really mad. And I believe it. I
should have told Klaus about Hope when I first found about her." Elena said.
"No, no, Elena, now is not the time for regrets. We need to get you and the kids to safety." Caroline said.
"I would say you guys could stay here but then we'd be putting the rest of the school at risk." Alaric muttered.
"It's fine, guys, I'm taking the kids to my family's lake house. Klaus doesn't know where it is, and Kol will be meeting us there. We'll be safe." Elena said.
"Klaus may not know where it is, but Damon does. The first place Klaus will check to find Hope is your house here in Mystic Falls. Damon will tell Klaus where the lake house is out of anger." Caroline argued.
"Do you really think he'd put his own children in danger, Caroline? I know Damon, he's angry right now but when something or someone threatens his children he'll do anything to protect them." Elena said.
"Are you sure?" Alaric asked.
"I'm positive." Elena says defending her husband.
"Alaric, clean up on isle L." Hope comes into the office with Josie next to her.
"I'll get on it. Take care of this situation." Alaric tells Caroline and goes to help Lizzie.
"Sissy!" Sarah says when she sees Hope.
