Miranda's exhaustion from the prolonged divorce proceedings and Tucker's relentless demands to just hear him out weighed heavily on her shoulders, leaving her drained both emotionally and physically.
As Miranda sat in the cafeteria, her brow furrowed in frustration, Callie joined her and leaned in with a sympathetic expression. "You look like crap."
"Thanks, with a friend like you I don't need a mirror." Miranda rolled her eyes.
"What I meant was, you've been dealing with Tucker's nonsense for far too long. You need a break," Callie suggested gently.
Miranda let out a weary sigh, stirring her coffee absentmindedly. "Right, well I just want this divorce to be over with. I'm tired of his constant attempts to make amends," she admitted, her voice tinged with exasperation.
Callie nodded in understanding, her gaze unwavering as she met Miranda's tired eyes. "I get it, Miranda. But maybe it's time to focus on yourself for a change," she proposed, her voice filled with conviction. "Why don't you go out and have some fun? Take your mind off things for a while."
Miranda's lips curled into a skeptical smile, her skepticism evident in her tone. "And how exactly am I supposed to do that?" she countered, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
"Well, you could always go out with another man," she suggested playfully, her words laced with a hint of mischief.
Miranda's eyes widened in disbelief "Another man? Are you serious, Callie?" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with disbelief.
Callie chuckled at Miranda's reaction, her laughter filling the air with warmth. "Come on, it could be fun. You never know what might happen," she teased, her voice laced with excitement.
But Miranda shook her head adamantly, her resolve unwavering. "No way, Callie. I'm not about to jump into another relationship just to distract myself from Tucker," she declared firmly
"You know what they say." She grinned
"What do they say?" Miranda asked but soon regretted it when she saw the look in Callie's eye.
"The best way to get over a man is to get under another." She replied
"Why did I even ask?" Miranda mumbled into her coffee
Arizona soon joined Miranda and Callie at the table, Callie couldn't contain her excitement as she leaned in to share her suggestion. "So, Arizona, I was just telling our dear friend here that she should go out with another man to take her mind off that ex of hers" she revealed, her tone filled with playful mischief.
Arizona's eyebrows shot up in surprise, her eyes widening as she processed Callie's words. "Wait, what?" she exclaimed, her voice tinged with disbelief. "You want Bailey to go on a date?"
"Try not to sound so surprised." Miranda mumbled "Just cause my husband cheated doesn't mean I'm so undesirable a date is unfathomable."
"Oh that's not what I meant, It was more so surprised that Calliope suggested it." Arizona shoved her breakfast in her mouth
"I suggested a date because it could be just what she needs to shake things up a bit," Callie insisted, her tone filled with enthusiasm. "Get her out of this rut."
Miranda rolled her eyes at Callie's suggestion, her skepticism evident in her expression. "Oh please, like that's going to solve anything," she retorted, her voice dripping with sarcasm.
But Arizona's curiosity was piqued, her gaze flickering between Miranda and Callie as she considered the idea. "I don't know, Maybe she's onto something. A little fun could do you some good," she suggested, her tone gentle yet persuasive.
