Treblinka - 1942
The sounds of marching and commands could be heard over the rain. The ground squelched with each step as people were herded into large chambers. A young boy cradled his mother and father as they were pushed into groups. His knees were weak as they all slowly trudged their way. The boy's hand slipped from his mother's grip as she was pushed into the chamber.
"Lior!" His mother yelled as he was pulled into another group.
"Ma! Ma!" Lior screamed. As the screams from the gas chambers grew louder, Lior screamed himself hoarse. Unknown to him, the shadows surrounding the building began to pull at the chamber doors as if trying to open them. Lior's arms were outstretched as if he were trying to run and grab his parents. SS soldiers grabbed the struggling boy and they pulled him away, the moving shadows following, before the commander walked up to them and hit Lior with the butt of the gun.
