Chapter 41

Xue Yu grabbed the clothes in front of him, the sweat from his fingertips soaked the fabric. He had said he wanted to break off contact just a few minutes ago, but now he fell limply into the man's arms again.

Song Raoxun was being teased like this, and he shouldn't care whether he lives or dies.

But he found that he had developed a mean character, and he could not just ignore Xue Yu when he cried out in pain.

It was a chaotic morning.

In the early morning when smoke from cooking fires rose up, Xue Yu was carried on Song Raoxun's back and drove for more than half an hour to the town's health center.

The townspeople work hard to keep themselves healthy and rarely get sick. Apart from a few elderly, weak, women and children, there are almost no people coming in and out of the clinic.

The old doctor, who was still dozing off, stared at the young man at the door. He especially looked at the young widow behind him, whose lips were rosy and soft as spring mud. He was so beautiful that it was shocking. He quickly stood up and went to greet him: "What's going on?"

Song Raoxun was sweating profusely as he held Xue Yu's smooth thighs firmly. Every part of his body was filled with the fragrance. God knows how much willpower he had to endure the unbearable pain. He carefully moved Xue Yu from his back to the front and hugged him gently: "He said his heart hurts. Please come and take a look."

The old doctor was startled: "Heart?"

Song Raoxun frowned and nodded, not wanting to waste time, and urged: "He started to feel pain this morning, please hurry up."

The old doctor looked hesitant, but seeing that people were urging him, he had no choice but to ask people to send Xue Yu to the consultation room.

It was very strange, for such a serious issue as the heart, the old doctor took off his cotton mask and came out in just a few cups of tea.

Song Raoxun stared at his old face, concerned about Xue Yu's condition. Before the old doctor even opened his mouth, he asked anxiously, "How is he? Why did he suddenly have a heartache? I haven't seen him like this for a while."

He didn't know what Xue Yu was like in the city, but at least during the time since he moved here, he had never heard Xue Yu say where he was in pain.

The old doctor's fat lips moved twice, and the words filtered through his mind several times before leaking out from between his teeth: "Well, I suggest you go to a big city to have a look."

Song Raoxun frowned: "...Why?"

"Young man, you know the situation of our town hospital. The resources are backward and the equipment is scarce. There are retired doctors here. They can treat minor illnesses, but we are powerless to treat serious illnesses like this."

The old doctor sighed softly: "I see that his pain has eased. Maybe it's intermittent. Before the next wave comes, let's take a bus to a big city for a checkup."

Song Raoxun pressed his eyebrows. He was too nervous.

Forgetting the poor medical standards here, a few days ago, village cadres went to the town for a meeting to respond to the rural revitalization strategy. The first problem to be solved was the problem of the township health center.

Senior leaders from all walks of life gathered together to study how to improve service quality and protect the health rights and interests of farmers.

As of now, these have not been implemented.
