The group divided into two factions. The higher-ranked members, with an air of stupid superiority, excluded the lower-ranked individuals in joining their group, deeming them deadweight in this dangerous dungeon.
Rui's gaze followed Jinwoo's figure, watching as the latter quickly pulled out thick coats from a spatial inventory. Jinwoo moved with a calm efficiency, his expression seemed unbothered on what this dungeon holds.
The years they have been through together, it seems like Jinwoo changed a lot. Now, he exuded an aura of confidence, fully aware of his own abilities. He was a man who held many secrets, and not once had Rui ever questioned him.
His gaze continued to follow Jinwoo, and finally, their eyes met. Confusion etched across Rui's face as Jinwoo quickly averted his gaze with a touch of awkwardness.
Rui raised an eyebrow at his friend's awkward behavior, sensing something amiss. Despite the uneasy tension, he chose to keep his lips shut. Perhaps, he was just misreading the situation, and eventually, things would return to normal.
The people in their faction stood with mouths agape as they witnessed Jinwoo's spatial inventory, astonished by its capacity to hold so many items. Questions began to barrage him from all sides, their curiosity about his true identity growing with each passing moment.
Jinwoo's demeanor shifted, becoming cold and serious. He raised a finger to his lips, a silent command for the crowd to hold their tongues. The gesture was clear; now was not the time for questions.
"Don't ask me any questions and don't demand anything from me."
Before anyone could argue, a massive ice bear appeared before them. It roared and stomped its feet, sending tremors through the ground and filling them with dread. The low rankers stared in terror, knowing they were no match for a high-ranked monster.
Settled on a sturdy branch of a tree, Rui observed the unfolding chaos below with a mischievous glint in his eyes, as the others panicked in the face of the ice bear. Despite the commotion, Rui remained aloof, he had no intention of intervening, confident that Jinwoo already knew exactly what to do.
In the blink of an eye, Jinwoo leaped off the ground and soared high above. With the use of his fist he struck the bear, and in that moment, the monster fell lifeless on its feet.
Rui let out a low whistle as he witnessed his friend's swift and display of strength. The onlookers gasped in awe, their eyes widening at the sight of the monster's sudden defeat in just a single hit.
Jinwoo sat atop the lifeless body of the ice bear, his expression appear to be in a quiet contemplation as he murmured to himself.
"Talking to yourself again?"
