CHAPTER 2

" Real men, don't whine. " The mask man said as Tanjiro startled.

" What.?" Tanjiro said as he was surprised that he couldn't sense him before, he just pop out nowhere.

Michirou watch the mask guy scolding Tanjiro for being lack of something, while fighting him. She just there, sitting and watching.

" Rias. " Michirou called, the shadow emerge and pop out next to her.

" What do you think about him?" Michirou asked

" That guy is already dead, he might still not in peace. " Rias said

" I see, he might be the old student of Urokodaki-san." Michirou said as she watch Sabito knock Tanjiro out.

" Maybe.."

" He's coming here, hide. " Michirou said as Rias disappear in the thin air.

" Why are you not training?" Sabito asked as he face her.

" None of your business." Michirou said as she stand up and took her katana.

" You'll get killed if you gonna join demon slayer corps without training enough ." Sabito said

" I'll get killed? Me?" Michirou said as she scoffed.

" Don't get cocky just because you train a little. " Sabito said but Michirou cut him off

" Are you also want me to fight you? " Michirou said as she unsheathed her katana.

" Then, I'll give you what you want. " Michirou added as she disappear in the thin air.

Sabito was taken back a little but he deflect the sudden attack. His wodden katana almost broke, luckily Michirou was holding back.

' She's fast.' Sabito thought, he admitted that he was surprised.

They both fighting and deflecting both attacks, Michirou was using real katana while Sabito used wooden katana.

" Come on, give your best shot. " Michirou smirk

' She's not just a newbie. She's powerful than that brat.' Sabito thought

' Perhaps this kid is powerful than me.' Sabito added

Michirou down her body to dodge the attack and raise immediately as she hit the wooden katana making Sabito let it go and point her katana to Sabito. The point of the katana was near at his mask.

" Is this enough?" Michirou asked as her eyes look at him coldy.

" ..." Sabito was speechless, despite knocking Tanjiro out. Michirou was different.

" You already dead, so why?" Michirou asked

" How did you know?" Sabito said as his eyes widen behind the mask.

" Doesn't matter. Why are you here?" Michirou said as she lowered her katana. She's wondering why Sabito can see them and they see him. The other girl was taking care Tanjiro which she didn't mind.

" .... "

Sabito hesitate first to tell her what happened. He doesn't know why he'd tell this to Michirou. Michirou listen but in Sabito's point of view, she's spacing out already.

" Are you really listening? " Sabito irritatedly asked.

" Yeah. " Michirou said boredly. Sabito pinch her cheeks in irritation. Michirou eyes widen in surprised. He's the first one who did that to her.

" Stop it!" Michirou whine as she trying to take Sabito's hands away from her.

" You're not listening to me! You brat!" Sabito said as Michirou use her strength making Sabito let go and lay his back on the grass.

Michirou sat on him, as she point a lil knife on his neck. Michirou was taken back after what she did.

" Sorry.." Michirou said as she take a away the little knife.

" It's okay."

" You look like someone i know. " Michirou said as she get off of him.

" Really?"

" Yeah but I can't remember though. It's just familiar." Michirou reply.

" I hope you remember that person soon. " Sabito said as he took his talisman mask.

Michirou see his face for the first time, he had a scar on his right cheek.

Months pass by, Sabito and Makomo teach Tanjiro and train him. Sometimes Michirou got bored and spar with Sabito which she enjoyed it so much same with Sabito.

The day comes, Tanjiro and Sabito was facing each other. Michirou was on the back of huge boulder.

" Crystal Breathing, First Form. Sea of stars." Michirou mumble as she cut the boulder in half smoothly.

Tanjiro was fazed after Sabito disappear and only saw the boulder was cutted in four pieces.

' He cut it too. ' Michirou thought as she glance to Tanjiro.

" Are you alright?" Michirou asked as she went near at Tanjiro.

" I..i" Tanjiro still couldn't believe that he cut the boulder too.

Suddenly Urokodaki appear at their back as they look at him.

" I didn't expect both of you will cut this boulder."

" I don't have plan to send you in the final selection. " Urokodaki said as Michirou got confused.

" But you both did well. " Urokodaki added, Tanjiro start to cry in relief.

" No fun if you didn't.." Michirou said making Urokodaki chuckle a lil bit before he patted her head.

Urokodaki lead Tanjiro to house to rest a lil bit and cook for them. Michirou decided to stay a lil bit. She still want to talk Sabito.

" Don't worry Sabito. I'll kill that demon for sure." Michirou said as she grinning devily.

" Don't get killed. " Sabito reply

" No worries. I'm getting excited now. " Michirou said as she laugh.

" You're crazy, you know that.." Sabito reply.

" I know. " Michirou said as she fix her posture.

Sabito smile behind his mask as he feel reassured. Maybe trusting Michirou wasn't that bad.

" This is the last goodbye, Sabito. I enjoy your time even though you're ghost." Michirou said as she look at him

" Don't die. Michirou" Sabito said as he disappear along the mist. He was glad to meet Michirou.

Michirou eyes widen before it turns cold. She surprised that Sabito called her for the first time by her name after the months they spend together.

" As if I'm gonna die that easily.." Michirou said as she laugh bitterly. She started to walk away as Rias follow her.

" Your getting excited to kill them? Aren't you?" Rias said as the shadow smile evil.

" Don't state the obvious, Rias. I'll torture them before kill them. " Michirou said

Her evil laugh echo through the forest, as Rias laugh along with her.

" I wonder it'll be really fun?"

" Woah! Urokodaki-san cook for us. It's been a long time I'll eat delicious food. " Tanjiro said as he smile.

" I hate vegetables.." Michirou mumble as she give it to Tanjiro, she got scolded by Urokodaki after that.

" People here are so weird, Rias. " Michirou mumble

" I know." Rias mumble back, Even Rias thinks people here are so weird.

As they done eating, Tanjiro cut his hair while Michirou laying on the floor. Spacing out while Tanjiro and Urokodaki having a conversation.

"This is the talisman. It'll be your protection." Urokodaki said as he hand the talisman to Tanjiro.

" Michirou.." Urokodaki called as Michirou slowly glance at him.

" Here, have this. " Urokodaki said as he gave another talisman mask to her.

Her talisman mask has moon crescent shaped near at the cheeks, the color is turquoise green. And other design looks cool.

Michirou look at carefully, can't help it that iy looks beautiful.

" Thank you. " Michirou nonchalantly said as she try to put it on her face.

" Be ready for tomorrow, you'll go in final selection. " Urokodaki said

" Okay. "

Early morning, Tanjiro and Michirou prepared.
Urokodaki buy Michirou a kimono to wear. She was surprised that Urokodaki buy her.

" Thank you very much." Michirou said, her tone of voice are soft. Deep inside, she's so grateful to him. He's like a grandfather to her that she never had.

" Your welcome, no go. Change in the room. We'll be waiting here. " Urokodaki said as Michirou went to the room with her new kimono.

" Rias. He's really weird. " Michirou said as Rias appear and floating next to her.

" His presense are warm. It's really weird. " Rias reply.

" He even gave me a new clothes. I feel like a had a huge debt to him. " Michirou said

" .... " Rias didn't reply, he disappear in the thin air as Michirou sigh.

Michirou change her clothes. The kimono fit to her very well. She went out to the room and face Urokodaki.

" Tanjiro are waiting you outside. " Urokodaki said as he lead her to outside.

" Don't worry about your sister, I'll take care of her. " Urokodaki said as Tanjiro nodded.

" Come back safely. Tanjiro, Michirou. " Urokodaki added as he patted thier heads.

" We'll be back alive. " Michirou said

Tanjiro run a lil bit. Michirou walk calmly as she don't want to run, not now.

" Say hi to Sabito and Makomo for me!!" Tanjiro yelled as he leave.

Michirou take a last glance to Urokodaki before her figure disappear.

" Tanjiro. "

" How did you know the names of the dead children?"
