Omniscient
Angelica stared down at Christian's body. He'd be beaten pretty badly, and she knew he put up a good fight after seeing Mateo's face. "He's going to be okay though, right?" Her voice was shaky as she tried to remain calm. "Of course, he is. He's a Moreau and Moreau's are strong. Christian is going to be fine" Mrs. Quinn straightened out his blanket concern flowing through.
"He did well during the first surgery, but the second one is a bit riskier. We've given him some meds to help him sleep and allow his body to rest. Once the other bullet is out and he heals I believe he should make a full recovery." The doctor explained.
"Cortez, why don't you go home and get some rest? You've been here all night." His mom suggested. He'd only gone home for a second before coming right back to the hospital. It didn't feel right for him to be at home while his brother was in the hospital. He refused to leave his side. "Nah I'm not going anywhere until he wakes up."
"How about I go get you a change of clothes?" Angelica said. "Thank you, baby." Angel walked towards Christian's bed. "I love you, but you need to wake up soon," Angelica whispered giving him a light kiss. She sighed. "I'll be back soon." She kissed Cortez before heading for the door.

She got to the house and found herself sitting on the bed as tears rolled down her face. She was pissed. The anger she felt consumed her body and the tears followed. Her phone started to ring. "Hello," "Angie?" Alejandro questioned into the phone. She didn't sound like herself. "I need your help one more time." "Anything." He didn't care what she was going to ask him he'd help her. "I want a DNA test done." "Absolutely." He agreed without hesitation.
"And you'd have to be in the same room as Mom and Julian," Alejandro grunted in response. "Please?" "Just tell me when and where." She sighed. "Thank you. I have to get back to the hospital. I'll call you back okay?" "Of course. If you need anything I'm here. I meant what I said. I want to be a part of your life." She could hear the sincerity and pain in his words.
He'd missed a lot of huge milestones in his children's lives and if what he told her were true the two people who raised her were the cause. She planned to sort all this out as soon as Christian was better.
"I know." She hung up and grabbed things that both men would need, just enough to last a week. She headed back to the hospital to find Cortez flipping through the channels. "Where's your mom?" "I sent her home. She was freaking out." She stared at him. "I'm fine." "No, you're not. Your twin is lying in a hospital bed." His scowl only deepened.
"And you're pissed." "I should've been with him. He should've waited to get fucking gas. We should've been handled Matias punk ass." He chattered on for another 15 minutes before looking up at her. We'd moved to the couch and his head rested on her lap. "Are you okay?" "No, but I'm handling it." He sat up staring at her but she refused to look at him.
"Angel look at me." She continued to stare at Christian. "Look at me." "No. If I look at you I'll cry and I'm done crying." He gripped her jaw forcing her head to turn and he watched the first tear roll down her cheek. "He's going to be okay." "I know that. He has no choice but to be okay because if he's not then I'm spazzing out." He chuckled.
"So what is it?" She sighed. "While we were in Mexico Matias and Mateo's Godfather, Alejandro—," "He's Christian, and I were looking into it." She nodded her head. "He said he is my dad. He said our mom used to be on drugs and he threatened to kick her out. She was cheating with Julian before they took us, stole his money, and ran off to live happily ever after. That's why they faked their deaths because they settled here and comfortable and Alejandro was on their ass." "How are you sure?"
