The Fueding Two

Bodie sat at the kitchen table, a bent metal spoon in his hand. He sighed, and layed it on the table before just eating the cereal out of his bowl.

Why do I still eat this? It's not like I can use a spoon.

Other than the twinkling of Bodie's glass, the clinking of bent spoons being thrown away, or the patter of Bodie's feet, the house was quiet.

He got up from his seat and went into the kitchen to wash out his bowl.

On his way, he spotted a note stuck on the fridge door, being held by a magnet of a dog:

FOR BODIE

I am sorry Mäuschen, I am working late tonight, so I cannot make dinner for you. I have left some good in the fridge to heat up, or you can make something yourself if you like.

Bodie placed his bowl in the sink and began filling it with the rushing water. The sound was soothing in the sombre silence of the house.

It'd be nice if I had a sibling. Being on my own gets boring. But it's irritating
apparently, from what Nat tells me.

Nathan was the oldest of 3 in his family. Having kids much younger than you around must get tiresome, but Bodie missed having that sibling bond others had.

He left the bowl on the draining board, dryed his hands, and went to pick up his phone on the kitchen table.

Nathan:

Yeah, history-

Bodie put his phone down, and stifled a laugh.

Maybe I do have a kind of sibling after all.

Today, not one, but two notes sat inside Bodie's locker.

The first one was written on flowery notebook paper, adorned with little doodles:
