"What...?" Ana asked with tears in her eyes
"There's someone else Ana" Carlos exclaimed.
"I- but how- who!?" Ana slightly raising her voice while a tear drops from her eye.
"That doesn't matter, sorry Ana." Carlos said with an emotionless face- he doesn't even look sorry.
"But.... why...?" Ana knew she was playing a dangerous game with that question but she had to ask.
Carlos sighs "sometimes you just...know when you found the right person and that person just wasn't you Ana. I didn't mean for this to happen you know?" Carlos said
"What? To break my heart on our anniversary?" Ana says while her voice shakes.
"Well I was gonna tell you yesterday but then you weren't here so I was gonna tell you tomorrow-" Carlos was about to finish his sentence before Ana cuts him off.
"Wait a second, yesterday??? So you were cheating on me???" Ana says while raising her voice even higher now.
"I- well I didn't think of it like that, I thought of it as taking a breaking from you without you knowing." Carlos said making up a very bad excuse.
"¿Hablas en serio? Do you even hear yourself right now!? How long?" Ana asked with a serious face
"How long what." Carlos asked with his stupid face
"How long have you been cheating on me!?" Ana is now yelling
"Its not cheating!!! But 4 months." Carlos said while talking a step back
Ana's eyes widened "four- four months...? You've been hiding a secret from me for 4 months!?" Ana couldn't believe it she is furious now.
"It wasn't a secret! I just didn't tell you the truth!" Carlos also raising his voice now.
"¡Eres tan estúpido! I hate you! Ana yells
It started pouring rain now.
"You don't mean that Ana." Carlos said trying to grab her arm.
"LET GO OF ME!" Ana yells out
"Ana calm down." Carlos said in a patronizing way- he was treating Ana like a little girl that didn't get the toy she wanted it or something.
Ana screams and starts hitting and kicking Carlos
Then Carlos had enough and pushed Ana and she landed into mud.
"I'm going to tell everyone what a horrible person you are." Ana says with tears coming down her face and still sitting in the mud.
Carlos laughs "And who do you think they would believe? A handsome jock that wins every football game of a stupid pathetic little girl that dresses like a prostitute for attention?" Carlos says while laughing again
"See you Ana. Oh and you can have this back I don't need it." Carlos says with an evil grin on his face while he directly throws the gift that Ana gave him that morning at Ana.
Then Carlos left, Ana couldn't believe what had just happened. Ana sat there for a minute in the mud, crying while it's still raining.
Then Ana walked home with her soggy wet clothes and a mud stain on her shorts and lower to middle back, she had black mascara and her blue eyeshadow smeared and running down her face. She opened the door to her house and her brothers are home- Just her luck.
"Your late." Javier says then his eyes widened after looking at her
"Oh look who joined the circus!" Javier says while laughing.
