Gyuvin and his teammates are already in the gymnasium, warming up as the game is about to start. He can feel the intense gaze of the opposing team's captain, a guy who hates Gyuvin and is glaring at him with an annoying smirk. "Wow, do I look scared, dude?" Gyuvin thinks to himself.
Determined to ignore his rival, Gyuvin continues his warm-up, all the while waiting for Gunwook to arrive. Three minutes before the game, Gunwook is still nowhere to be seen, and Gyuvin starts to worry. "Guys, did you see Gunwook come into the gymnasium?" he asks his friends anxiously.
"No, we didn't see him," Yujin replies, making Gyuvin groan. "Yeah, he didn't come in here with Taerae and his friends," Ricky adds. "Why are you so worried, bro?" Hanbin giggles. "I miss him," Gyuvin admits. Those three words make his friends burst into laughter.
"Yah, is there something funny? Huh? Motherfucker," he says sternly, his patience wearing thin as he sits on the side bench of the gymnasium.
"Yeah, it is, dumbass," Yujin replies, still laughing. The others try to stifle their laughter to avoid angering Gyuvin. Hanbin smacks Yujin on the back to make him stop, causing Yujin to flinch and wince silently.
"No, it's not funny, Gyuvin," Jiwoong laughs awkwardly. "It's normal to miss our crushes, though," he adds. "Yeah, it's normal, but does he have a right to miss him? Does he miss you too?" Ricky teases, and Gyuvin glares at him.
"You are really arrogant, you know that? I know you have your Taerae hyung, so shut up and mind your own business, you bitch," Gyuvin replies sternly. Ricky looks at him in shock. "Wait, Ricky is dating Taerae?" Hanbin asks, surprised. Jiwoong and Yujin's jaws drop, and they cover their mouths in astonishment.
"Yah, Gyuvin! They don't know about that yet!" Ricky says, annoyed. "I don't fucking know, okay? You didn't remind that they still don't know" Gyuvin replies, rolling his eyes. Ricky glares at him. "Yah, the two of you, don't fight. We still have a game. Not right now, okay? Calm yourselves down," Hanbin says, trying to reassure them. They manage to calm down.
The game is about to start, and the gymnasium is filled with the loud cheers of students supporting their favorite teams. Almost everyone is cheering for Gyuvin's team, especially for Gyuvin. While his teammates wave to their supporters, Gyuvin is still looking for Gunwook. With so many people, it's hard to spot him, and Gyuvin sighs, thinking that Gunwook might be really busy today.
The game begins, and Gyuvin's team gets the ball first. "Gyuvin, Gyuvin, throw it to me!" Ricky exclaims while running. He successfully catches the ball, and the first point goes to them. They cheer in celebration.
Meanwhile, Gunwook is still in his office, hurrying to complete his tasks before heading to the gymnasium. He had promised Gyuvin that he would watch the game, so he's running as fast as he can. "Fuck, I'm late," he curses as he runs.
Finally, Gunwook arrives at the crowded gymnasium. He climbs to a higher spot to get a better view of the players and sits down, panting heavily from running. He is grateful that he made it in time.
The score is 15-7, and it looks like Gyuvin's team is going to win. They take a short water break, and Gyuvin scans the bench, finally spotting Gunwook. He smiles widely. "Guys, Gunwook is here," he says, shaking Ricky's shoulder. "Yeah, yeah, your Gunwook is here," Ricky replies in an annoyed voice. "But why is he sitting with their supporters?" Ricky points out. Gyuvin sees that Gunwook is indeed sitting with the opposing team's supporters, and his smile fades. "Isn't he here just for me? He promised he would support me, but instead, he's supporting that guy..."
"Cheer up, dude," Jiwoong says, patting Gyuvin's back. Gyuvin rolls his eyes, annoyed and angry, and walks over to sit on the bench, disappointed. His friends notice his mood. "Whop, whop, Gyuvin is jealous," Yujin whispers to the others, who nod in agreement.
The game resumes, and Gyuvin is dribbling the ball. He is distracted by Gunwook's presence. He sees Gunwook cheering, but for whom? Suddenly, the opposing team's captain steals the ball from Gyuvin. "Seem distracted, huh?" the guy taunts, scoring a point. The crowd cheers loudly.
Gyuvin is shocked and fuming with anger at the guy's smirk. "Fuck, I want to punch his face," he thinks. "Gyuvin, don't distract yourself," Hanbin advises. Gyuvin nods, but his jealousy flares as he sees Gunwook clapping. "Is he supporting that motherfucker? Hell no."
Gyuvin grits his teeth, determined to take revenge. "I swear we will win this game. Be ready, losers," he mutters under his breath, smirking at the opposing captain.
With the game clock ticking, Gyuvin knows they have to win to advance to the championship game on Friday. The score is 46-54, and it's possible for them to win. Yujin has the ball. "Gyuvin, catch!" Yujin throws the ball, but it lands in the hands of the other team. "Fucking shit," Yujin mumbles. The opposing team doesn't score, and Gyuvin quickly recovers the ball, dribbling and running.
Finally, this is his shot. If he makes this basket, they win today's game. He shoots, and it goes in! The crowd erupts in cheers. Gyuvin raises his hands in triumph. "YES!" he yells, running to his teammates. They hug and celebrate. "Gyuvin! Gyuvin!" the crowd chants. He chuckles, enjoying the celebration, though knowing it's not the final game.
It's time for the teams to shake hands. They appear friendly, but there's underlying tension. Gyuvin meets the opposing captain. "Congrats," the captain says with a smirk. Gyuvin can't help but scoff as he shakes the captain's hand tightly, causing the guy to groan. Gyuvin smiles kindly, hiding his true feelings, and releases his grip. The captain glares at him.
"What did you do?" Jiwoong asks, nudging Gyuvin. "I don't know, nothing, I guess. He's just exaggerating and jealous," Gyuvin says proudly, smiling and giggling. "Yeah, definitely," his friends agree.
As the teams leave the gymnasium, Gyuvin feels a mix of triumph and lingering jealousy. He looks forward to the final game, but he is still annoyed and jealous
