Gunwook and his friends were walking down the hallway, ready to leave for the day. "Hey, Gunwook, why is your student hiding?" Matthew asked, struggling to hold back his laughter. Gyuvin was awkwardly attempting to conceal himself against the wall, but his brown hair was still visible. The sight was so ridiculous that Matthew could barely contain himself. Zhang Hao and Taerae noticed Gyuvin's poor attempt at hiding and burst into laughter.
"Student? What do you mean?" Gunwook asked, confused.
"Over there," Taerae pointed toward where Gyuvin was hiding. Gunwook followed Taerae's gaze and sighed in exasperation. "What the fuck? Why is he hiding?" he muttered, walking closer to where Gyuvin was trying to blend in with the wall. As Gunwook approached, Gyuvin's eyes widened, and he pulled his head back in a futile attempt to remain unseen. Gunwook couldn't help but scoff at the sight.
When Gunwook finally reached him, Gyuvin was pressed against the wall, still trying hard to remain hidden. Gunwook tapped Gyuvin's shoulder, making him flinch and turn around in shock. "O-oh, hi! I didn’t see you there," Gyuvin stammered, trying to straighten his posture and act nonchalant. He placed his palm on the wall and gave Gunwook an awkward smile, clearly embarrassed that his hiding spot had been discovered.
Gunwook chuckled at how ridiculous Gyuvin looked. Despite his annoyance, he found the situation amusing. Gyuvin, seeing Gunwook’s genuine laughter and beautiful smile, couldn't help but smile back, momentarily forgetting his embarrassment as he admired Gunwook's expression.
Zhang Hao cleared his throat. "Kim Gyuvin..." he said, pretending to cough, snapping Gyuvin back to reality. Realizing he had been staring, Gyuvin quickly looked away, his face flushing.
"That stare is quite gay... That’s not how you normally look at someone," Taerae remarked, eyeing Gyuvin suspiciously.
Gyuvin giggled awkwardly, feeling even more flustered. "What do you mean, guys..." he said, trying to laugh it off as he scratched his neck and looked around, avoiding Gunwook’s confused gaze.
"Oh, there’s my hyung. Bye!" he suddenly blurted, pointing to the crowd and darting off in an attempt to escape the awkward situation. Gunwook and his friends turned to look, but there was no sign of Gyuvin’s supposed hyung.
"He’s lying, that silly..." Matthew stated, shaking his head.
"Gosh, he is so bad at hiding," Taerae laughed, playfully slapping Matthew’s arm.
"What do you mean, guys?" Gunwook asked, still baffled.
"Gunwook, didn’t you notice?" Zhang Hao asked. "The way he hides from you, because he’s shy around you, and the way he looks at you... Gosh, it seems different. It’s like he’s in love with you. The way he looks into your eyes..."
Zhang Hao winked at Gunwook teasingly.
"Gosh, guys, we hate each other. You’re all exaggerating. He obviously hates me, okay?" Gunwook insisted, though a hint of doubt crept into his voice.
"He hates you but is always around you, always teasing you. A person doesn’t act like that if they truly hate someone," Taerae pointed out.
Gunwook thought about it. They might be right, but he couldn’t bring himself to believe it. "No, he can’t be... Even if he likes me, I don’t like him. I hate him more than I like him," he said, starting to walk away.
"Hmm, that might make you fall harder," Matthew teased, making Gunwook look at him in disgust.
"Isn’t Gyuvin straight? He dated many girls," Zhang Hao said, puzzled.
"Maybe Gunwook made him question his sexuality. It's possible," Taerae replied.
"Guys, can you stop talking about this? It’s irritating," Gunwook said bluntly, sounding genuinely angry.
