Veneer's POV
My sister has been nonstop talking about her new vacation spot. I have to act like I care because that's what I usually do, but it's getting annoying. Velvet is going on a long vacation because supposedly she's so tired. As she's packing her luggage and babbling on, I decide to approach her.
"Hey sis, how long do you think you'll be gone?" I ask, hoping she doesn't catch on to my ulterior motives. Honestly, I'd like some alone time with a certain someone, but I can't tell Velvet that—she'd be furious.
"I'll be gone for about a week. Why?" she replies.
I hesitate, trying to think of a neutral response. I don't want to say anything that might make her cancel her plans just to keep an eye on me. "I just wanted to see how long I'll be alone," I say casually.
"You won't be alone; you've got Y/N," she says.
I feel my cheeks heat up at the mention of her name. "I know, I know. Just keep packing. I'm gonna go back to my room."
I retreat to my room, close the door behind me, and jump onto my bed. Why can't I get this girl off my mind? There's something about her that I just can't describe.

Later Y/N's POV
I was in the kitchen, preparing dinner for the twins, when I heard aggressive yelling coming from Veneer's room. Curious and a bit concerned, I walked over and slightly cracked open the door. He was playing League of Legends and, from the looks of it, losing badly.
I slowly backed away from the door and closed it, heading back to the kitchen. But as soon as I closed the door, I heard someone clear their throat. "What were you doing, looking into my brother's room?" Velvet asked, her gaze piercing.
I gulped. "Nothing. I heard yelling and wanted to see if he was okay."
She gave me an unfazed look. "I believe you, but if I find out you and Veneer did anything while I'm gone, you'd be fired."
"Okay, got it. No weird things with Veneer while you're gone. Understood," I replied quickly.
Her expression remained unreadable as she walked back to her room. I stood there for a moment, lost in thought before I realized—oh shit, the oven is still on! I sprinted back to the kitchen and quickly turned off the oven before anything bad could happen.
(The next day)
Veneer's pov
Velvet was done, packing, and ready to go so we said our last goodbyes and she left locking the door behind her. The second she left I ran up the stairs to y/ns room. I gently knocked on the door waiting for a response. "Come on in" I open the door and spot her lying on her bed reading a book. I close the door behind me and walk up to her bed sitting on it. " Hey I just wanted to see what you're doing" She put her book down and looked at me " I was reading a book but this book is kind of boring it's about vampires it's not interesting" I immediately get an idea " bored you say how about we play a game"
Y/ns pov
My eyes widen when he mentions a game I was so bored. I was willing to play anything at this point. " yeah, what game are you thinking of?" he thinks for a moment, but then I'm malicious goes onto his face. " how about truth or dare" It sounded like a good idea, and I was willing to play a game with that big of a risk. " I'm down any limits?" "Nope" "ok" we start to play the game but it takes a whole different turn.
