Chapter 1: Training

In class, you were scrolling through your phone, reading the news feeds, which talked about how your popularity has skyrocketed. As you read them, Himiko appeared behind you and read a snippet of one of them.

Himiko: "Wow, you're getting more popular by the day."

"Oh, Himiko," you said, surprised. "You startled me a little."

Himiko: "Sorry. Well, I've heard more of your music. I kinda fell asleep to some, but the rest I felt emotions coursing through me."

"Good emotions or others?"

Kokichi: "Good ones, I can assure you. Himiko here was crying so much, you'd be wondering if her eyes were peeing."

Kaito: "Take it easy with the description, Kokichi. At least she didn't smash her devices when that happened."

Kokichi: "For the last time, I tripped and then it hit the counter. That wasn't on purpose!"

"What are they talking about?"

Himiko: "Kaito let Kokichi borrow one of his CDs and it ended up broken for some reason. Kokichi says it was an accident, but Kaito and the others say otherwise."

"Yeah, I don't know too much about that."

Kokichi: "Who do you believe, Yuri? Me or Kaito?"

Kaito: "Not you, since you literally do nothing but lie."

Tenko: "Hey, leave Yuri out of this, degenerate males! Or else I will unleash my Neo-Aikido all over you!"

Kaito: "No problem. We'll back away."

Kokichi: "I prefer not to have another awkward trip to the nurse's office."

Kokichi and Kaito walked out of the classroom and you are surprised at what just happened.

Tenko: "Sorry for those two. They're opposites of each other. Then again, if I had to choose a side, I'd side with Kaito."

Himiko: "Same."

Tenko: "Anyway, want to join us and start your training? We found out we are free this afternoon, so we can get an extra day of training."

"Um--," you could only mutter before receiving a text from Evelyn.

"So, your performance has indeed improved, and I'll have guests at the house that don't require your company. Enjoy your afternoon off."

"At this point, I guess so. I'm free right now."

Tenko: "Alright."

Himiko: "Awesome."

At her lab, Tenko allowed you to make a move, and you held your arm out before Tenko grabbed it and flipped yourself around.

"That was pretty good. Quick question, does Aikido involve more than just flipping people over?"

Himiko: "You're about to find out real soon."

Tenko: "Yuri? You seem to be doubting yourself a lot."

"Sorry. I didn't think that people putting their hopes on me would be a lot."

Tenko: "Can't say I understand, but I can't say I blame you either. But in my opinion, mastering Neo-Aikido will help you overcome them."

Himiko: "Hey, you guys want to swipe some ice cream from the cafeteria before we leave?"

"Why not?"

After sneaking some ice cream out and eating at a park, the three of you sat on a bench as you looked at Tenko. She looked back at you and smiled, causing you to blush.
