Prologue: Meeting the Aikido Master

At a concert, there was a woman named Yuri, filled with energy and spirit. She played the violin, and after giving an amazing performance, the entire audience applauded before she went backstage.

Soon enough, she became sad and put her violin away as a middle-aged woman appears. She left the concert and got into a limousine.

Yuri: "Good evening, Ms. Evelyn. I hope I performed well at the concert."

Evelyn: "You did, but I sensed some hesitation from you."

Yuri: "I was trying to keep myself from making any mistakes."

Evelyn: "Well, you could do better. I won't punish you, but I expect you to improve your performance over the week. Do that, and you might have more than just tomorrow afternoon for a break."

Yuri: "Yes, ma'am."

The limo took them back to their house, and Yuri went to her room, which is filled with pictures of herself with someone who looked exactly like her. She played on her violin for hours until midnight came, then she grabbed a glass of water and drank it before looking at the trophies given to her over the years. She then went to bed and fell asleep.

The next day, she went to attend class at the Institute for Talented Individuals. During break, she heard something down the halls and decided to check it out. Entering the gym, she saw Tenko Chabashira sparing with her friends Himiko Yumeno and Angie Yonaga.

Yuri was left amazed by her skill and energy. Tenko won as Himiko and Angie are catching their breath.

Himiko: "Wow. I still have a long way to go to be as good as you, Tenko."

Tenko: "You'll get there, Himiko."

Yuri clapped, and the girls looked to see her standing right behind them.

Angie: "Hello. Who might you be?"

Yuri: "Greetings, I'm Yuri Nova. The Ultimate Violinist. I must say that was quite a match."

Himiko: "Wait, Yuri Nova? I saw your concerts. You were angelic."

Tenko: "Absolutely! Oh, you probably don't know who we are. I'm Tenko Chabashira! HI-YAH! The Ultimate Aikido Master!"

Yuri: "I could feel the energy just by watching. You have a very strong spirit, Tenko."

Tenko: "Oh, it's nothing. Would you be interested in joining our club? We're always open for members, whether it's female or degenerate males."

Yuri sweated nervously.

Yuri: "I'm in, but I have a feeling I'm in for a long backstory."

Himiko: "Don't worry, that won't happen till later."

Angie: "So, when will we see you?"

Yuri: "How does this weekend sound?"

Tenko: "Sounds good. See you later, Yuri."

Yuri: "Take care."

She went home and practiced for hours, then she grabbed the glass of water and looked at it before looking at the trophies and pictures of "herself" with the others. She felt the strength and hope given to those people.

She then gripped the cup harder before throwing it at the wall and falling onto her knees, grabbing the picture of herself and the identical person, and sobbing.

Yuri: "Why wasn't I the one to die? Why not me instead of you, big sister? Why did your brother have to survive?

Yuri stood up and took down one of the posters.

"I'm nothing."
