FLASHBACK: 10 YEARS AGO

Have you ever done something so bad it makes your stomach churn? Makes you ask yourself why you did what you did. What you could've done to prevent this? The little moments that lead up to this. Finally becoming conscious after the driven high of anger we all know and hate. The fact that you can't blame anybody but yourself.
Here I stand, looking at the bloody scene in front of me. I didn't want to do this. I didn't want to hurt anyone. But the yelling happened, the violence happened, and his neck just looked...so...delicious.
"MONSTER!" I hear my mother yell, pulling me from my line of thought. "M-mommy...I swear, I didn't mean to!" I plead walking towards her, my small body shaking in fear of what I've done. She backs away raising her arm. "G-get away you beast, you're no daughter of mine!" I wince, backing away slowly. Hurt at the sudden words. I just wanted to help, I didn't mean to hurt Daddy.
She crawls over to him. Crying hysterically repeating the words "Amore" and "Why" over and over again. My heart races faster and faster by the second. I can't breathe, my breath increasing faster and faster by the second. My mom locks eyes with me, her gaze full of hatred. "You did this! You ruined everything!" She begins to shout, rightfully blaming me for everything. I don't blame her, I did ruin everything. I really am... a monster.
My mother storms out of my sight, though I could hear a draw opening as well as metal rattling. She comes back holding a knife and rushing over towards me. I'm suddenly pushed against the wall, the knife now hovering over my neck. "You ruined everything! We were perfectly happy before you were born, after having you I got fat and ugly! You're the reason my husband cheated on me, you're the reason my husband doesn't love me anymore!" She rambles as she makes a small cut on my neck.
I wince at the action, I didn't dare make a sound, fearing that I would only make things worse. "It's healed... how? I just made the cut... How is it already healed?!" She shouts, she continued to make even more cuts, each slice becoming deeper and deeper.
I lock eyes with my mother "M-mommy please! Let go! I said LET GO!" I shout firmly, I felt her firm hands suddenly Loosen. I drop to the ground exhausted before looking up at her standing still.
"What's going on? Why can't I move? What did you do to me?!" She shouts, waiting for answer but I couldn't give her one no matter how much she shouted. Confused on how I was able to control her I repeat what I did earlier. I look at her dead straight in the eyes and firmly tell her "step away from me." Lo and Behold she listens, doing exactly what I say. I knew right then and there what I had to do...

"Yoo-hoo, Hitori? You still there?" I blink looking at the hand in front of me. I send a fake smile to the blonde girl in front of me. "Thought we lost you there for a second, always have your head up in the clouds." I look down at my unopened bento box, letting out a sigh at the piece of paper on top of it. 'Have a good day- Love Mom<3.' I let out a soft smile, opening the food to see some kimpap.
I enjoy my meal trying to tune into the conversation. "Where are you guys going after middle school?" A brown haired girl asked. "You know the basics, high school then college or whatever. What about you?" Someone responded, the brown girl smiled before proudly saying "I don't know about you guys but I'm planning to take the entrance exams and join UA, I'm going to be a pro hero!" Hearing her words made me laugh a bit.
Her face turned cold as she snarked at me "What's so funny Hitori?" I regain my composure before smiling "Pardon my rudeness but with all do respect how exactly are you being to go pro with a quirk like yours? Perhaps grow a thumb or two and beat the villains in a thumb war?" She quickly snapped "At least I have a quirk unlike you! We're only friends with you because your rich!" "Friends? Who said anything about us being friends? You guys started hanging on to me like leeches. Did you ever hear me once consider you as a friend?" I rolled my eyes picking my stuff up and quickly shoving it in my bag. I'm so hungry, I'm tired of eating this nasty shit.
