Chp 8: Downtime. But not for the knight

In Gotham city, we see that young justice are facing the Clayface, but they were all down except for Aqualad and EK. The knight tries to contain Clayface in a container but he keeps destroying it due to his clay creating solid objects which also used to knock the Knight out before dealing with Aqualad. Suddenly Batman arrived from the ceiling and fight Clayface until he uses tazer against Clayface which he collapse to the ground. Afterwards, Batman and the rest of team went back to the cave.

Batman: I need to talk to Aqualad. The rest of you hit the showers, and head home.

Superboy: Head home? I am home.

YN: Hate it when I get clay underneath my armor.

With that said everyone headed to the showers except for Aqualad and Robin who walked towards Batman.

Batman: Just Aqualad.

Aqualad and Robin looked at each other before Aqualad walked off.

Aqualad: I am sorry you had to intervene. I know the team performed poorly-

Batman: The team performed adequately. The problem was you. You're their leader and your head wasn't in the game.

Aqualad: No, you are...correct. Of late, I am not even convinced I belong on the surface world. For so many years it filled my every thought. But now that I am here my dreams are all Atlantis.

Batman: Atlantis...or someone you left behind? You can split your time between the surface and the sea, but not your mind. Either you're hear 100 percent or you need to walk away. Make your decision, Kaldur and make it soon.

Batman walked off and Aqualad and started thinking. Later, everyone came out of the showers. Wally out of his costume was heading to zeta tube and notice YN is still in his armor. Wally as YN WS they went through the Zeta tube to the one in an alleyway in Central City.

Kid: Coming over to my house in time for Jay's birthday?

YN: Can't. I promise my mentor that I'll be covering him for GL business. He said has a hot date planning while others, well, in their break as well.

Wally: Ouch, must be rough for one fight after another.

YN: Oh trust me. If you were in Oa boot camp, you'll know the word roughness really is.

Wally: Let me guess, they toss you at the lava and you try to climb your way back up?

YN: ....

Wally: Uh...did you? I mean with your ring, right?

YN: You wish.

Once they got to Central city they exit their zeta tube as YN changes back to his civilian clothes.

YN: First I gotta charge my ring before I go. I'd say save me a cake, but I'll probably be gone in a while. Plus you guys would probably eat them all.

Wally: (Chuckles.) Come on, you know I need calories for the fuel.

YN: Whatever, stay out of trouble.

Wally: Take care.

YN POV

We both gave each other high five parted ways. When I arrived home, I pack a sandwich before charging my ring with my personal battery.

YN: In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight, let those who worship evil's might, beware my power, green lanterns light.

Ring: [Battery charge to 100%.]

I created a backpack construct for my lunch before flying out of the window and head to space. The one thing I enjoy is the view of the planets from orbits and flying in space. Its always quiet and peaceful out here, but duty calls. It didn't took long until I see Oa from the view.
