"Yes! Come put it on the board"

My teacher hands me the marker, of course in the wrong hand. I have to switch to my left hand, before writing the sum on the board next to the equation we were working on in math class.

"Great to have you back Tenby." Says my teacher

"Great to be back, Mrs Ponts." I say

"GOOOALLL!" Shouts Marnie. We're in P.E. Class now, and luckily I made it through the whole class without getting too tired.

We were out playing soccer on the field, since it was actually a pretty nice day.

I was a striker, and I had made 3 goals already, and we've only been playing for 10 minutes.

"Nice one, Tenby!" The coach comes up to me after the game.

"Say, Tenby, I was wondering if you'd like to join the soccer team here. Crivvy is on it." Says coach Claire.

" I would love to! But I have a heart condition, so, I might get tired easily." I explain.

"you seemed to be just fine today. you're a great player, and we'd love to have you. You can fill out this form and bring it in by next Thursday. Tryouts are that Friday, and practices are Mondays and Thursdays after school, with a game that following Saturday morning." She says and hands me a piece of paper.

I thank her, then think it over. I did really love playing soccer today.

Finally I was home. As I went to put my backpack down, I caught a glimpse of something on the table.

It was a note.
Tenby-
Working late tonight. Luke is coming at half 6 with dinner. Hope you had a great day at school. I Love you

I smile as I put the note down and go to grab a snack. I went to the fridge and got a yogurt.

I got my ipad and played a game while I ate for a bit, then decided I should probably get started on my homework. I had math, science, reading, and an art project all due this week.

I take my homework folder out of my bag and up to my room, and work for about an hour. I glanced at the clock, seeing it was almost 5pm.

Just as I was about to grab my reading book, I got a text.

I smile and text back a quick thumbs up emoji. then text dad and Luke to let them know where I would be. Without thinking, I grab my phone and shoes and run out the door, too excited to see Crivvy, as I've barely seen her all day.

Crivvy was wearing her soccer uniform, and it was super messy, as she had practice today.

Games start up in April, so if I was going to be on the team, I would have to join pretty quickly.

I told Crivvy about what Coach said about the team.

"Omg yesss! you should totally join. it would be so fun to do it together!" She yelps
