Chapter 17: A Heartfelt Discussion

In the days that followed Selena's surprise visit, Taylor and Travis found themselves reflecting on their relationship and the future that lay ahead. As they sat together one evening, sipping tea and watching the sunset from their balcony, Taylor turned to Travis with a thoughtful expression.

"Travis, can I ask you something?" she began, her voice gentle.

Taylor glanced out at the city skyline, the lights twinkling in the distance as the sun dipped below the horizon. "I love you, Travis. More than I ever thought possible. And I know that you love me too. But lately, I've been feeling like there's something missing."

Travis reached out to take her hand, his touch reassuring. "I know what you mean, Taylor. I've been feeling it too. It's like we're stuck in a rut, going through the motions without really moving forward."

Taylor nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her at Travis's understanding. "Exactly. I want us to have a future together, Travis. I want to build a life with you, to share all the joys and challenges that come our way."

Travis squeezed her hand gently, his gaze unwavering. "I want that too, Taylor. More than anything."

Taylor's heart swelled with emotion, knowing that they were on the same page. "But I also think we need to be honest with each other about what we want and what we're willing to sacrifice to make it happen."

Travis nodded, his expression serious. "I agree, Taylor. We can't keep avoiding the tough conversations if we want to move forward."
