Chapter 18: Making Plans

In the wake of their heartfelt conversation about their future, Taylor and Travis found themselves filled with a renewed sense of purpose and determination. Travis's eyes lit up with excitement, the idea of a getaway appealing to him. "I love that idea, Taylor. Where did you have in mind?"

Taylor smiled, feeling a surge of excitement course through her veins. "How about Europe? We could visit all the places we've always talked about—Paris, Rome, London..."

Travis's face broke into a grin, his heart racing at the thought of exploring new destinations with Taylor by his side. "That sounds amazing, Taylor. Let's do it."

They spent the next few days planning their trip, poring over travel guides and booking flights and accommodations. With each decision they made, they felt their excitement building, knowing that they were embarking on a new adventure together.

But amidst the excitement of planning their trip, Taylor couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had been nagging at her since their conversation about their future. She knew that they needed to have another honest discussion about what they wanted and where they were headed.

One evening, as they sat together on the couch, Taylor broached the topic once more, her voice hesitant. "Travis, there's something I need to talk to you about."

Travis turned to her, his brow furrowing in concern. "Of course, Taylor. What's on your mind?"

Taylor took a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before speaking. "I've been thinking a lot about our future, Travis. And... I'm not sure if we're on the same page."

Travis's expression softened, his eyes filled with understanding. "I've been feeling it too, Taylor. It's like we're drifting apart, even though we're right here together."

Taylor nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over her at Travis's honesty. "I don't want to lose what we have, Travis. But I also don't want to settle for anything less than we deserve."

Travis reached out to take her hand, his touch grounding her. "I feel the same way, Taylor. I don't want us to stay stuck in a rut, going through the motions without really living."

They sat together in silence for a while, the weight of their conversation hanging in the air. But instead of feeling overwhelmed, Taylor felt a sense of clarity and determination wash over her.

"We need to make some changes, Travis," she said finally, her voice filled with conviction. "We need to be willing to take risks and step outside our comfort zones if we want to build the future we both dream of."

Travis met her gaze, his eyes shining with determination. "I'm with you, Taylor. Whatever it takes."
