Remy stepped out of the crowded elevator and into the lavish foyer of Kate's family home. The penthouse loomed ahead, a fortress of wealth that was almost intimidating.

"Jesus, this is a home?" Clint joked.

"Yeah," Kate confirmed, "Broke my arm swinging on this very chandelier."

Kate led Remy to the laptop which was their key to hacking into Bishop Security's criminal database. "So, from the home network, we should be able to get past the encryption with my mom's password."

"Yeah, I'm in the wrong business," admiring the luxury of Elanor's penthouse, Clint noticed what seemed to be a collection of swords behind a glass case. "How'd you say Armand was killed?"

Kate turned from her mother's computer. "Stabbed with a sword," she replied.

"See if there's anything on Kazi," Remy suggested.

"Let's see."

Remy started to fidget with her hands, her fingers twisting nervously.

"Okay, what's this company, Sloan Limited?" Kate asked, pointing at the laptop screen. "Kazi is an employee?"

"Sloan Limited, that's their shell company!" Clint yelled from afar, having wandered off into the undoubtedly large house.

"Let me see what I can pull up on Jack," Kate muttered under her breath. Just as she started her search, an alarming message appeared, notifying her she'd been locked out. "Damn it."

"Where is Clint?" Remy noticed.

"Stay exactly where you are," An unfamiliar voice called out.

Frightened, Remy gripped a small knife she'd concealed under her skirt.

Remy and Kate ran to Clint's defense to find a man holding a sword to his throat. "Jack, no!" Kate pleaded.

"What the hell is going on?" Elanor demanded, taken aback. "And why is there an Avenger in my dining room?"

"Hi."

Jack put down his sword in an apologetic realization. "Oh, my God. You're... You're Archer!"

"Hawkeye," Kate corrected.

"Clint," He insisted.

"Kate, who is this?" Elanor asked, clearly unimpressed by her new guests.

"This, This is Remy," Kate turned, "You know Remy. Remy was on my, uhm, my volleyball team." She lied.

Elanor shook her head in defeat, finding a seat at the dining table. Jack, with a concerned look, brought her a cup of coffee. "Thank you, honey," She praised softly as he seated himself next to her.

"Mom, Mom," Kate explained pulling out a chair opposite of her mother. "Hawkeye and I are working on a case, we needed to use the bathroom. Remy did. So, we were by the house, we dropped in. No big deal."

"Working on a case together? How terrific."

"He's my partner."

"We're not partners," Clint corrected.

"We're friends."

"I wouldn't describe us as friends."

Elanor looked up from her phone, visibly displeased. "Someone used my laptop to sign onto my work account ten minutes ago. Any thoughts, Kate?"

"By the way, thank you.. for saving the world." Jack interrupted.

"Don't mention it." Clint nodded.

"I would like my daughter to start telling me the truth."
