Jungkook's pov:

Last night, I was searching for new jobs to apply for on my laptop but then I got a call from Seokminnie about a job interview.

He also called me prior that day mentioning about it.

'The Super Company' a.k.a TSC was the company he talked to me about. It was for a job as the CEO's secretary.

I am 26 this year. Orphan, taken in by my single Uncle when I was 7. Also, I am yet to get a stable job. Not that I haven't tried..

I was actually supposed to take over the shares owned by my Uncle in his friend's company. I was even expected to be the next CEO of that company. That's why I worked hard day and night but everything went north when I turned 24.

Turns out it wasn't the company of my Uncle's friend but my Uncle's friend had tricked someone to hand him the company. I also suspected him after taking a look at the company's documents but I thought I will take care of them when I become the CEO.

But that never happened since the original owner of the company filed a case about taking it back. He was the original owner - Mr.Kim's son.

I still hadn't owned any of the shares that time and my Uncle was also proved innocent in the case that's why we had it safe but my Uncle's friend got arrested for document forgery.

And yeah seven years are yet to finish for his comeback. He could have gotten back sooner by paying the fine but he didn't have a single penny in his bank account anymore. And I don't know how that happened. Must be Mr.Kim's son's doing.

After that I was so frustrated and didn't know what to do with my life anymore. I had one big goal and in a blink of an eye it was non existent.

I went in depression for an year trying to figure things out and maybe reopen the case if I found a way to prove that the documents weren't forged. But that was all for nothing.

And now, I am trying to find a good paying job. I have to find one by the end of this month or I don't know how I will bear my and my uncle's expenses.

That's why I applied for this job. The job as the secretary of the CEO of TSC.

Apparently, Is also a Kim.

"Jeongguk-ah! You got a call." I hear my Uncle calling my name from downstairs.

"Who calls on landline these days?" I mumble to myself as I walk down to get the call.

"Yeoboseyo?"

"It's Seokmin!" The voice on the other side replies.

"Oh god, why don't you ever call me on my cell phone? What if I was out?" I huff.

I did expect him to be the one calling but someone else's been bugging more like stalking me lately so it was a 50/50 case.

"You got nothing to do, bro. Of course you'd be laying eggs at your home."

"Did you just call me to rub it in?"

"Nah. Remember the job I told you about yesterday?"

"Yeah. They haven't checked my resume yet."

"He will check it on correct 1:15 pm so don't worry about it."

"What do you mean?"

"The CEO of TSC wants to meet you at 1:25 pm."

"What? But I didn't get any notification from the company yet."

"The CEO, Mingyu , is a workaholic but also a perfectionist. He will check the resume on the time I told you then give you a call if he wants to have you work."

"That's crazy. What if I don't get a call, oh no."

"You will, surely. Don't sell yourself too short Kookie. Mingyu's lucky that you haven't become a CEO or it would have gotten him into a tough match." Seokmin chuckles.

"No. I just.. after what happened. I have been in doubt about my abilities for a while.. Nonetheless, I will try my best..if I get the opportunity."

"That's why I recommended you. All the best."

"Thanks."

"Anytime."

And he hung up.

Will this work out?

Who knows. All I can do is hope afterall.

Suddenly my phone rings, interrupting my inner thoughts. I flinch as it catches me off-guard. When I look at my phone screen an unknown number shows up. I nervously yet quickly pick it up.

"Hey, Jeon." A deep voice slurs over the phone call.
