I remember the day he arrived, I lived in a small house on Oak Street, in the middle of the suburbs, and every day was boring.
I used to go outside to play and look for other children to join, but apparently, all my neighbors were adults.
Until one day he arrived, a big moving truck in the house next to mine.
In front of it, was a small truck, with a young couple and a child around my age.
I got so excited when I saw him, I was finally going to have a friend!
I couldn't help but go with the new neighbors as soon as they got out of their truck.
- "Hi!" I said loudly
- "Oh hello sweety, what's your name?" Said the lady, she was blonde with beautiful big hazel eyes, in some way, she looked elegant and attractive.

- I'm Sophie, I live there" I pointed to my house
- "Oh! I guess we're going to be neighbors then" She said "I'm Laura, this is my husband Hugh" She pointed at his husband who smiled at me kindly, he was a tall brunette man with green eyes, he had curly hair but it was slicked back.

I felt like this little boy had just put a spell on me as soon as I saw him, he looked so attractive for being a 6-year-old, or I least I thought that, he had brunette hair and big green eyes just like his parents.

- "Hi" He said awkwardly.
- "You want to play?" I said excitedly
He just nodded, and then I grabbed his hand and ran to the little front garden in front of my house.
We spent the entire evening together, our conversations were childish, but at that time they were the most interesting conversations we'd ever had.
We had an instant connection and just like that, at the end of the day, we were best friends.
