"That damn demon!"
×
This was it. I was gonna die. I closed my eyes and prayed to every god in existence, as the stupid demon who didn't even know the name of was laughing at me like madman. I peeked one of my eyes open to look at the demon who had now disappeared. I closed it again and continued, thinking how long will it take for me to fall to my death
"Goodbye Hannah, goodbye Valentina, goodbye everyon-"
Thud! I fell on top of something! It felt... soft I guess? I thought I was freed from my misery until I heard someone. Was it an angel?! Nope. I was just going nuts.
"What the hell? What has the world come to, women raining out of the sky?"
A man's voice said below me. I had landed on my back... on someone?! His voice sounded smooth and laidback, slightly breathy and sassy. It was still deep, but had a slight Japanese accent. Not as heavy as the other people I've met. He probably travelled out of Japan a lot. Before I could say anything, he rolled me off him and stood up. I was still laying on the ground with my mouth slightly agape.

He looked me up and down with curiosity and something else I couldn't figure out. He looked muscular in a lean way, probably having a slightly larger sleeper build than mine. He had messy, almost white, very light blonde hair and intimidating sky blue eyes. He was asian for sure.
I stood up, and there was awkward silence. I could almost even hear crickets chirping. Maybe it was just because I was kinda delusional. I looked back at him when I saw him pointing a gun to my head. He was slightly smirking, as if he had completed his job
"What the hell...?"
I muttered out in confusion. He let out a bark of laughter
"Don't act all innocent with me, sweetie. You work for Enyo, don't ya? Don't worry, the strongest, AKA me, will spare you if you just tell me why you caused all this with him"
He said in a proud and almost victorious tone. I panicked and tried to deny it until I remembered what I had done. He had two guns in his pockets. I had took one of them and hid it in my long socks while I was still on top of him. The reason he couldn't notice it was because it had fell down behind my ankle.
I struggled to get it out and he just looked at me with a dumbfounded expression. It was as if he was thinking, "Is this woman not afraid right now? What the hell is she even doing?"
As soon as I got it out and pointed the gun at him too, I let out a triumphant laugh
"Haha! Look how the tables have turned. Now tell me, who the heck is Enyo and why the heck do you think I work for him."
His brows were furrowed, and mouth was hanging slightly open. His expression looked even more dumbfounded and it was quite funny. He cleared his throat and regained his smirk
"You don't have the guts to shoot. You're too cute for that"
I smirked back, pointing my gun just above his head and shooting, the bullet not hitting him on purpose. My shooting practice was DEFINITELY coming handy. His face turned concerned again
"Put the gun down, right now. And kick it to the side"
He let out a groan of frustration and did it before raising his hands up.
"Happy?"
"Certainly. Now who the heck is Enyo and why the hell do you think I'll work for him?"
He shook his head. He was unwilling to answer me
"If you don't know about him, all good."
"I'll take my leave then"
"Fine. Wait gimme back my gun-!"
I ignored him and ran. I needed the gun desperately. Besides, the jerk had another gun anyways
I was too hungry to even ponder about who was Enyo. Probably that guy's enemy or something. This might even be the first time I've fell on a hot jerk. It sounds very kdrama-ish without context, I chuckled to myself as I thought that
Because of the fairly high fall my body still ached slightly. I think all that durability training came to use because a normal person would've DEFINITELY gotten a concussion.
Whew, what an awkward interaction. I made my way to the super market, and rationed all the instant food. I had gotten plenty, because surprisingly Hannah had a huge apetite. Well, I guess she deserved it because she started to become mature. I had to throw the rations up to the balcony and after my hands weren't full anymore, I climbed up.
×
I made instant Ramen for myself and ate it, before trying to sleep again because I was having a really bad migraine.
×
I woke up to someone shaking me awake. I was a heavy sleeper, so it took me a few minutes to fully wake up until I saw a familiar face. It was Hannah. She smacked me to fully wake me up.
"Ow! What was that for?!"
"You weren't waking up, and I had to break down the door!!" She yelled. I noticed her expression was tense, and she was sweaty.
"I didn't think you had it in you to break down a door" I grinned. She frowned a bit.
"Knock it off, its really not the time"
She continued "Valentina is lost!"
What?! How did the most mature person of our group get LOST??
"You're kidding... right?" I asked, letting out a tense chuckle, trying to lighten the mood. Hannah shook her head in a "No" which made me worry even more.
"How?! Valentina is not a kid that she'd get lost" I said in disbelief
"Well... we may or may not have split up" Hannah said sheepishly. This was the first time this girl looked legit. I decided to just nod and plan out our next move
"I need a clearer explanation though." My tone was firm. Even though she seemed legit for now, I couldn't help but be skeptical of her
"Uhhmm, it went like this-" Hannah looked to the side as she remembered what exactly happened.
