LOOKING IN EACH OTHER'S EYES

CHAPTER 1 : THE FIRST MEET

It was January 2020, I was in class, working on an assignment. "We are skipping class. Let us depart," Rhea said.

 "Are you kidding me? We are not going anywhere! The school is currently engrossed in the exhibition. If we absent ourselves from class and leave, we will be apprehended," I told her.

 "What the hell is wrong with you? why are you so boring?" she replied. 

"Well if it'll save us from being caught doing stupid things then yes I AM BORING! I'm not going. If you want to go, go alone. I won't stop you."

"Bloody hell! Aadhira, I know you've never skipped class before, and I understand that you're afraid of getting caught. But this is a great opportunity to go skipping! All the teachers are busy with their work, so no one will even notice we're gone. Chal,(come on), do it for me." Rhea insisted that we skip class,

 I didn't want to get caught, but she wouldn't let it go.

We took the out pass from our monitor and exited the class gate. I said in sarcasm, "Isn't it amazing to see two girls leaving class with just one pass?"
"It is," she said.

 We walked along the corridor then suddenly stopped around 8th C when a voice approached us from behind. It was Mihir. I was aware of his name because he was in the same class as one of my acquaintances, Mehak. Although I did not know him personally, I had encountered him on several occasions at school. When we heard his voice, we turned around and saw him standing there. He was calling me, I went to him and asked what was the issue. 

"You can't go out without a pass," he said.

 "What? I have the out pass see, pointing him towards Rhea's hand in which she was holding the pass."

 "I know that but she has it not you and I have been instructed by the teachers to not let anyone out of class without a pass. So, unfortunately, you can't go."

 I reluctantly agreed to Mihir's demand that I return to class. I went back while Rhea went to the washroom. I knew she would come back to class because she couldn't skip by herself. Sure enough, 15 minutes later, she returned and sat down next to me. 

"Hey! Did you see the guy standing behind Mihir?" she asked me curiously. 

"No, why would I?" I replied. "Well, that guy was staring at you and smirking," she said in a hurry.

 "What the hell Rhea! Now it's too much and I'm not listening to any of your shit. Do you understand?" 

"We'll see that, after the class, I am taking you outside and I'll let you know who that guy was," said Rhea. "Are you being serious right now?" I asked her annoyingly. 

"Yes Mam, 100 percent," she replied.

After class, Rhea ushered me out of the classroom and into the corridor. "That is the individual who was staring at you," she said. 

"He is wearing a half sweater and adjusting his muffler." 

I looked at the guy she was referring to. The moment I laid eyes on him, I was spellbound. My eyes lit up in fascination as I beheld his dazzling eyes. They were gorgeous, and time seemed to stand still. People appeared to be walking in slow motion, and the wind swirled around me. I began to hear music in my mind. I had never experienced anything like it before.
