*Alexs POV*
Since the other night I have bought her a new phone and not let her out of mine or Mers sight. She keeps pushing me away but I don't want her to end up in trouble, not after what she's been through this year let alone her whole life.
"Hey beautiful" I say as she walks up to me after a surgery with Mer "hey" "I'm proud of you" she nods " how we feeling today?" "Mer and I did this awesome surgery" "good job" I say kissing her head. She's getting better slowly we're all glad.

Alex got me a new phone new number and everything some would say he's being too protective, others not. I'm just glad if my ex does show up I'm safe for now. Plus I've got other problems to deal with "time for your meds" Alex says walking in to the office I'm in with Cristina, like that.
"Sooo how's mcdreamy going?" Cristina asks Merdith at the nurses station, we basically people watch now. "The sex is so good" Mer and Cristina start to talk, "y/n?" I hear my name, whoops?, "huh" "oh how's the whole therapy thing going?" They ask, great jsut great why can't we talk about normal stuff like our love lives or surgeries? Why do I have to be the broken one? "It's fine I don't even need it it's stupid protocol" "mhm" they nod as all our pagers go off "oh my god massive trauma" Cristina says first to answer as we rush down the hall to grab our trauma bags.
"Do we know anything else?" Alex asks Bailey as the transport ambulance takes us to the scene, "nope, go through the tags and help as many people as you can, red tags deceased, orange get them immediately transported, yellow minor injuries or non life threatening , green is cleared" she instructs us. "You ok?" Meredith asks me "yeah of course" I nod, I wonder what it's going to be? We pull to a stop and the vehicles doors open, there's hundreds of cars, all piled up, police cars blocking the moving traffic, this is bad.
"Hey we need some help over here" someone yells and Alex and Mer go running, I wander over to a screaming girl, "hey it's gonna be alright" I say as I kneel down to the window as it's a sports car, "no no it's not m-my dads going to kill me, I'm supposed to be at school right now" the young girl says, she doesn't even look 20 "hey honey what's your name" I say laying my trauma kit down beside her car, "C-loe, I'm 17 and I'm allergic to penicillin, I didn't mean to I promise" she rambles on "ok Cloe that's good to know, I'm Dr y/l/n, it's ok alright, I've got you" I say as I examin her injuries, definitely a dislocated elbow and a collarbone break, "Dr y/l/n, it really hurts and I'm kind of stuck" she whines "I know sweetie" I tell her, no bleeding, I check her for internal bleeding and any brain injuries, "Dr y/l/n I noticed someone's car go that way" she says pointing off the road, "are you sure?" She nods "ok well I'm going to get you out first ok?" I say strapping her wrist with a yellow band and pulling the car door open, I help her over to the triage tent and leave to go look for this car?.
I wander past the tape "hey excuse me Mam you're not allowed past here" "someone's hurt" I tell the officers as I walk past them, it's a steep hill, I observe for any sign of a car, then I hear screaming, "Hey I've got someone down here" I say and follow the noise sliding down the hill a bit. "Hey sir it's ok don't panic" I tell him after reaching the car, "sir?" I ask as I get to him, all of a sudden I'm hit with the force of a car door opening, I feel nothing beneath me, I let out a yell, but what if I don't yell, do they still need me, Alex? No he doesn't need me he's too good for me . Meredith? My headS throbbing.
*Alexs POV*
I finish the first car with Meredith, "hey are you ok?" I hear Mer ask a young girl in obvious pain "I'm C-cloe but there's a doctor already helping me" she says "well there's no doctors helping you is there?" I say laughing a bit "no she said she would be back" Cloe says, "ok we'll let's get this elbow in place and strapped up" I say as I pull out some bandages for a makeshift sling. "Do you know a Dr y/l/n? She was wearing the same colours as you guys" she says, Y/n. "Yes do you know her" "yes she was the Dr who helped me" "ok well where did she go" I ask her panicking, she can't just disappear, "umm I don't know like over there" she points to a taped off police scene "seriously?" "Yeah I think so" I thank Cloe and run, Meredith behind me.
Please be ok please be ok please be ok, "Sorry you can't come down there we got the guy already he's ok" an officer says "have you seen a Dr, a female about 5'2 I say describing her "uh yeah she ignored us before and went down but I think she made it back" "you think?" He nods "officer with all do respect I'm going to run down there and you better hope she's ok" Meredith says grabbing me and rushing down the hill, we see the car, it's on a ledge, I notice the other sides door is open aswell, no no no. "Y/N" we both scream out, jumping to conclusions, "HEY GET SOME HELP OVER HERE NOW" Meredith yells as I rush down the hill to her lifeless body. No no no this isn't how it's supposed to end.
Blood spots all over my shirt, I carried her up that hill, Meredith holding her head steady as I put the neck brace on. "Don't you dare give up on us" I yell at her. "WERE HERE" the driver yells out "Jane doe, fell from a height" the driver tells Bailey "ITS Y/N" I blurt out "BAILEY ITS Y/N" Mer screams as we rush her into a trauma bay. "Karev out" Derek half yells as I'm hopelessly holding her impaled arm "Alex it's ok she's alive" Mer reassures me "no no no it can't end like this" I say tears streaming down my face, "ALEX OUT NOW" Derek yells, I'm pushed outside and the door is shut. Tears pour down my face, I can't let her not be ok, I need to help, I need her to be able to do what she loves. The door opens, it's Meredith, I look up at her "Alex, Derek's taking her to surgery and Callie was paged, has she been taking her meds?" "Everyday" "ok her body should be strong enough, she has a brain bleed and Callie will fix her arm" "Meredith" "what?" "Is she paralysed" I cry out, she pulls me to the OR, "Alex I'm going to be honest with you, she took a really big fall, we simply don't know you know this, Sloans on his way to wait with you, Derek and Callie are the best at what they do, we've got this" she tells me.
"Hey man" Sloan appears around the corner, I can't form words. "She's going to be ok, what do you need?" "Can you just check on her?" He shakes his head and sits next to me and pats my back. I can't believe this is happening.
