SOLVED

Valerie Coco Pippa Bailey was an American child actress, one of the most prolific child stars of the eighties and nineties, daughter of producer, Ken Jonas Bailey, and model, Michelle Elise Cassidy.

Valerie was born in Los Angeles, the famous couple's only child. She got her first role at three years old in the film Horse Road. Essentially from the moment she could stand, she was subjected to heavy sexualization, grooming and abuse, from other actors, directors, producers and even her own father. Many described her as aggressive, angry and she was oftentimes listed as hard to work with. She was diagnosed with dyslexia when she was a child and had a hard time learning lines often. Once when she asked if she could quit acting, her father beat her. Her mother did nothing.

As Valerie grew into a teenager- what with the nature of nineties sitcoms and her developing body -the sexualization she experienced skyrocketed. She became sickened with herself, as evidenced by several diary entries, such as the following;

I am disgusting. I am disgusting. I am disgusting. I am disgusting. I am disgusting. I am disgusting. I am disgusting. I am disgusting. I am disgusting. I am disgusting. I am disgusting. I am disgusting. I am disgusting. Why did I have to change? I should've just killed myself when I started. I should've just ended it all then.

Despite this, Valerie was noted to be very hypersexual on set, often hooking up with her much older co-stars. She was also did drugs often.

The evening of Valerie's eighteenth birthday, her father entered her room, and an argument broke out between father and daughter, Ken expressing his anger that his daughter had made plans to leave home after she became an adult. He hit her, as evidenced by the cameras in Valerie's room. That's when she shot him. She shot him twice in the stomach, once in the chest, and twice in the head, promptly killing him. Valerie then left her room and walked around the house, just doing laps as if nothing happened.

Michelle, seemingly uncaring of the gunshot that had just gone off, left the home for the night.

Valerie walked around the house until midnight when she grabbed the gun, locked herself in the bathroom, and shot herself dead. She was discovered the following morning by a housekeeper, Wilma Tomlin.

May Valerie and Ken Bailey rest in peace.
