Plot~
Jess Harley is an attendant at the philly mental institution, where she happens to meet a young man around her age.
A very mysterious young man.

Jess' pov
I glanced up to the blank ceiling above me.
This place is a cave, a cave that slowly sucks you deeper and deeper into insanity.
Unlike a lot of people here, I don't actually think I'm insane.

When I first got here, everyone told me that I was in fact, insane.
But not for the 'usual' reason, which is suicide.
No.
I am insane solely off of the reason that I enjoy the thought of hurting others.
I know it sounds insane.

And upon being a newbie here, I thought myself that I was insane.
But after watching, for months and months. almost years.
I realized, I'm not insane.

It's just everyone else who is.

"Mrs. Harley, it's time for teen intervention" the nurse announced, coming in through my door.
I moved the blankets from my legs, letting my feet hit the cold floor as I followed her out into the
"Group hall"

Whoever named these places obviously wasn't a very creative thinker.

I slowly walked to the already filled room, which consisted of a circle of mentally ill humans.
Quietly I took a seat in the only empty place I could find.

"Hello everyone" a woman with a wide smile said brightly to everyone in the circle.
Oh how much I hated that smile.
Some of the patients replied, some didn't, and people like me just sat with displeasure and their arms crossed across their chest.

"We're going to start with Jessica, she's going to tell us how she's progressed here within the institute" she smiled brightly gesturing to me.
I shot her a fake smile and rolled my eyes before standing in front of all the teenage bozos.

"Hey, I'm Jessica Harley, if I like you, you can call me Jess. I'm 17 years old, I came to this place 16 months ago, apparently I haven't progressed that much because I'm not out yet, and eh I don't know honestly" I sighed, sitting back down and trying not to look at anyone.
"Thank you Jessica" the woman smiled and gestures for the next person.

Now a golden haired boy stood, his light eyes flashing at me as his might opened slowly.
"Hi, I'm Jeremy, I got here 2 years ago.. Still haven't been released...I think it's because my parents don't want me released but...thats something else. anyway, I'm 19 years old and progression wise, I think I've only gotten worse" he flashed a smile before sitting down.

2 years?
How come I've never seen him around.
I didn't even notice anyone else present as I just watched him the whole time.
"You know, if you take a picture it'll last longer" he winked before standing up as everyone started to leave.

"Wait" I called after him, standing and following him down the narrow hospital hallway, "how come I've never seen you here"
"I don't like leaving my room much" he said lightly, shrugging as it was nothing.
"Sounds like you've got social issues" I mumbled lightly, attempting to do so he wouldn't here it.
"Well don't we all here" he stopped in his tracks turning around to me and sending chills down my spine with his haunting smirk.

I continued to follow him as he walked slowly down the hall.
"So Jessica Harley" he began, a smirk still on his lips as he lead me throughout the hospital, "why are you here"
This caused sudden confusion, surely he has no home training, asking someone like me that kind of personal question.

But I shook it off and shrugged.
"I mean, look at you. you're completely normal, you don't belong here.
There was surely a mistake" he said, his voice sounding a bit sarcastic but altogether very serious....
Which confuse me.

"Looks are very deceiving" I stated softly, continuing to follow the golden haired boy down the hall.
"Very true Jessica Harley, very true" he pointed his narrow index finger at me while saying this.

There was something about this boy that intrigued me.
"Where are you going" I asked softly, watching as we came to the end of a hall.
"My room, I was wondering if you were just gonna follow me or..." he rolled his eyes, opening the door to the farthest room in the building.

I entered to the blank room all except one necklace hanging on the wall.
I slowly walked to it, reaching my hand out to feel the beautiful necklace.
"Don't touch that" he managed out, his voice cracking too.

I turned around quickly, noticing that his lips were in a straight line, his eyes looking hurt.
"Oh I'm sorry" I mumbled, there has to be something sentimental about it.
But I won't ask.
After all I just met this boy.

"No it's nothing, I just...its special" he muttered, sitting down at the foot of his bed.
"I understand" I nodded my head slowly.

Soon a knock came at the door.
"Come in" Jeremy rang out as a nurse came into the room.
"Mr. d-"
"Call me Jeremy" he interrupted her.
"Jeremy, it's time for your pills" the nurse corrected herself, holding out 2 large pills in her hand.

The boy took the pills from the nurses hand, picked up a glass of water and downed the pills.
Opening his mouth afterward and maneuvering his tongue around so it was clear that he had swallowed.

"Good job" the nurse complimented before heading back to the door.
She stopped in her tracks before turning around and looking to Jeremy.
"Mr. D-"
"Jeremy" he interrupted again.
"Jeremy, you are aware that female patients are not supposed to be in your room, correct" she asked, her eyes darting in my direction.

I slowly made my way toward the door, spinning on the ball of my foot and shot him a smile.
"See you around Jeremy" I chirped.
"Goodbye Jessica Harley"
