I sat in my room, staring at my phone as it rang. Reyansh's name flashed on the screen, and I felt a flutter in my chest.

"Hey, Reyansh," I answered, trying to sound casual.

"Hey, Amaira! How's it going?" Reyansh asked, his voice warm and friendly.

"It's going good. Just studying for my exams," I replied, settling into the conversation.

"Ah, yeah! I know how that is. I'm actually calling because I got to know from Arjun that you were struggling with math in class. Want some help?"

My heart skipped a beat at the offer. "That's so sweet of you, Reyansh! But I really don't want to bother you..."

"It's no bother at all, Amaira! I'm happy to help. We can study together at the library tomorrow?"

I agreed, and we made plans to meet the next day.

As we chatted, I felt a strange sensation, like someone was listening in on our conversation. I brushed it off as paranoia, but the feeling persisted.

Finally, we said our goodbyes and hung up. I couldn't help but feel a little excited about our study session tomorrow.

─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

I sat in the library, surrounded by stacks of books and notes, trying to focus on my studies. But my mind kept wandering back to Reyansh's call earlier that day. He had offered to help me with my math problems, and I had agreed, hoping to spend some time with him.

As I pondered over a particularly difficult equation, I felt a strange sensation, like someone was watching me. I looked around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Shrugging it off, I returned to my studies.

But the feeling persisted, growing stronger with each passing minute. I began to feel uneasy, my skin crawling with goosebumps. I glanced around the library again, this time more carefully, but saw no one suspicious.

Suddenly, I felt a chill run down my spine. The gaze on me was palpable now, making my heart race and my palms sweat. I knew I had to get out of there, but my legs felt like lead, refusing to move.
