Vocalists Meet

-Bang Chan's POV-

The all nighter will certainly leave an impact on me today, but honestly I don't know how much I got done since there were times I caught myself staring at Hongjoong while he was sleeping. I tried to focus on the music, but it was really hard. What am I thinking? He is now my coworker and I am sitting here staring at him as he sleeps. He looks so peaceful while he sleeps and I couldn't help myself. Once Hongjoong woke up I felt a bit better although he still looks amazing when he is awake. I made my calls and he made his calls and when he came back I took out a comb and some water and fixed his hair for him. I couldn't hide my smile and he couldn't hide his blush even though he tried. I finished fixing his hair, I stepped away from him and sat down in my chair just as Seungmin and I.N came into the studio. I greet them both and they sit on the couch. It didn't take long for San and Jongho to show about ten minutes later, we started out with talking and I.N suggested that we start with Youtiful, I thought that was a good idea and hell Hongjoong decided that he would sing even though he is a rapper mainly. 

When he started to sing it felt like my heart was about to jump out of my chest his voice I swear it's to die for. I quickly snap myself out of the trance and smile softly as he steps out of the recording booth. "That was beautiful Hongjoong." I said and all he could do is say thank you and sat down in the chair next to me. The next one in the recording booth was Jongho and his voice was even more beautiful and it didn't surprise me I knew his range and it's amazing so I will be able to utilize that to some extent since I'm not sure what his limits are, we will have to talk about that. After Jongho leaves the booth Seungmin takes his turn and after him San goes into the booth needless to say I was a bit surprised with his range. San has a wonderful voice on him as well and can go high to a certain point then he starts to struggle so I will not push him. I don't want to push any of the members of Ateez so talking to them about their range will help me so much on what notes I can and can't give them. After San left the booth I.N goes in. My members have wonderful voices of their own and I know where their ranges lie so I have no problems in giving them notes.

I started to talk to Jongho about his range and he told me where I can and can't place him in terms of key and well I can say I am very happy with the placement I can put him in. I then talk to San about his range and I am also happy with where I can place him since his range is great as well just not as high as Jongho. After we were done talking we started to sing a few lines from the songs on both sides that we have chosen. Hongjoong had us try singing The Black Cat Nero and he had nothing but positive things to say. Since San is here I talked to him about singing parts from Red Lights. "San I have chosen you as my partner for Red Lights so when we do the music video and the singing it will be just us for most if not all the time on that song." I said and of course his eyes lit up like a Christmas tree, I can see the excitement radiating off of him. After we were done with The Black Cat Nero I gave San the lyrics to Red Lights and When he started to sing I knew he was the one I could redo this song with.

I wanted to redo the song with Hongjoong, but I knew that it couldn't happen that way. I bought lunch and while we waited I had started to sing my parts of Red Lights I mainly focused on Hongjoong's face and I was blushing as I saw a look on his face that reminded me of a wild animal hungry for their prey. Trust me that look was beyond sexy and it shows me exactly why he is part of the demon line and I couldn't agree more. Finally I stepped out of the booth and I was shy and a blushing mess. Before anyone could ask me why there was a knock on the door and I answered it grabbing the food and passing it out avoiding questions with this welcomed distraction.  We all sat and ate in silence and I was thankful for that. Man what is going to happen when Hongjoong and I are in different dorms? I don't like him do I? Fuck what am I thinking? I can't tell him that I might like him, can I? I am just going to keep quiet about it.

After we finished lunch the guys left, well except for Hongjoong and I'm not gonna lie the silence between us should be awkward, but it wasn't it was actually quite comfortable. We worked on redoing the songs and well this time it was me crashing at my desk for a few hours. I remember working on Double Knot and before I knew it my eyes were closed and my head was on my desk. When I woke up I had a blanket over me and my phone was on charge and everything I had done was saved just in case something turned off. I looked over to Hongjoong and he is still working on his songs and I believe he was working on The Real. I sat up in my chair and I spoke. "You should head back to your dorm you will have been here for two days if you stay again." I said and he just smiled. "I already told the guys that I will be here another night. I am not leaving until you leave and it is about nine at night now. I don't think you will send me home at night." He said and I smiled and nodded. "You are right I won't send you home this late at night. Did you still want to work or did you want to sleep?" I asked and of course he would tell me he can work until midnight and then probably pass out so I made a choice. "Alright then lets work until midnight and then get you to my dorm and a bed to sleep in. I will give up my bed if anything I will sleep on the couch." I said not really giving him a choice on the matter.

We both work until midnight and when that time hits I save everything and shut everything down. I take him to my dorm, once in my room I give him some clothing to change into after he has had a shower. I will honestly be up early so I can wash his things and have them dry by the time he gets up. I hear the shower turn on and I smile as I put his things in the washer so I can start it when I get up in the morning. After he got out of the shower I get into the shower and I was only in there for maybe ten minutes before I am out and dressed. I leave the bathroom drying my hair and I check on Hongjoong only to find him already asleep in my bed. I smile and grab a blanket and go to the couch, laying down I get comfortable and sit on my phone for a bit before I end falling asleep as well.
