A Dirty Little Deal

ADLD: A "Special" Arrangement.

Athena's Pov:

I was in my parents office, there were 3 security guards, me, my parents, and my worst enemy ever since high school, Enzo Robinson. I was delirious. It was early in the morning, 9:30 am....the clock struck 9:31 am...what a great way to start a day, just great. Ugh....

My mother, Athealia, was ranting on about this arranged marriage I was being forced into.

Athealia: You will marry this man.

She clasped her fingers together. My father, Alijah, who was beside her cleared his throat.

Alijah: It's for the best darling. We want to be the first black-American family to do this.

I wasn't having it though.

Athena: I'm sorry, but this just can't happen...Enzo and I absolutely hate each other.

Enzo: Ain't that the truth....

He scoffed.

Athena: No.

Athealia: You're thinking small my little brownie....

I cringed.

Athealia: By you two marrying each other, your kids will go on and inherit your fathers bloodline, making us rich, and not only that, but carrying on our legacy.

Alijah: Your mother has got a great point darling.

I folded my arms.

Athena: And how do you expect this marriage to work if Enzo and I absolutely hate each other's guts?

Alijah: Well you guys better learn to get alon then, right?

I rolled my eyes, and I wanted to break down and cry right then and there.

Enzo stood.

Enzo: If she tries me the wrong way I might end up hit-

One of the guards cleared their throats very loudly, Enzo looked back at them and then back at my parents.

Enzo: I might end up quitting life....

Alijah: Well figure it out, because by tomorrow morning at 12:30 pm, this will be your new lives, we have a house arranged for you guys already-

My mother interrupted.

Athealia: And it's already furnished.

Alijah: You guys will have rings-

She interrupted again.

Athealia: Made out of real diamond.

My father was seeming to get annoyed now.

Alijah: And you guys are expected to sleep in the same bed, eat the same dinners, and be a traditional family like couple-

Athealia: Don't worry, you guys are gonna love it.

I rolled my eyes.

Athena: You have got to be kidding me....right?

Athealia: All real baby....

My mother leaned forward to me.

Athealia: And if you refuse, I'll take your inheritance Missy....

I scoffed.

Athena: Uh! But mom a-

She quickly snapped her fingers and I stopped talking.

Alijah: How do you think your mother and I came along, I hated her guts at first.

Athealia: Couldn't stand each other...

Alijah: And then Cupid came and struck me with his bow, and I was in love.

Enzo laughed.

Enzo: And you think that's gonna happen?

My father smirked.

Alijah: I know it will....

Athealia: Well I guess it's settled.

Enzo: What?

Alijah: Your rings will be ready tomorrow.

Athena: Mom, dad-

Athealia: You guys are dismissed.

Enzo and I were instantly kicked out, at first we just stood there, and then he said-

Enzo: Oh, I'm gonna make your life a living hell....

Athena: Not if I beat you to it......

Enzo scoffed and then stormed off, I did the same and ran into my room, I began to cry while packing my things.

Were my parents fucking crazy!?!?!?!?

It must be so....

I certainly DO NOT want to marry Enzo Robinson and become a Robinson!
