ADLD: 9 Month Mark

*9 MONTHS LATER.*

Athena's Pov:

3:21 am.

3:22 am.

3:30 am.

4:00 am.

5:00 am.

6:01 am.

6:21 am.

It's been about 9 months later.

It was early in the morning, about 6:22, turning 6:23 am.

I felt unbearable pain in my stomach. Maybe Braxton Hicks?

No, it can't be because these types of contractions were way worse. They were just contractions.

Athena: Ooh.....

Enzo woke up. He turned over and gently put his hand on my side and rubbed.

Enzo: You okay, babe?

Athena: I think it's just contractions, babe...

He helped me sit up.

Enzo: Are you sure?

Athena: I mean, my water is not broken, so....

Enzo: Okay......

Enzo turned over and got out of bed.

Ever since I got pregnant, Enzo has been on top of it, literally. He devotes all of his time and attention specifically to and for me. If I even cramp just a little bit, he's always been just right there for me. He even started waking up early in the mornings just for me.

Athena: Mm, I got pee really bad, though.

I took my time getting up, but once I fully stood-

SPLUSH!!!!

My water broke.

Athena: Oh my gosh....

It looks like I dunked my panties in the pool. They were drenched.

Athena: Ooh!

And that's when the contractions started to get worse and worse every second, every minute, really.

Enzo came running in.

Enzo: What the fuck!?!?

Athena: My water just broke....I need to sit down.

Enzo rushed over to me and helped me sit back down.

Enzo: Easy, easy...

Athena: Ah!

Enzo: I'll call doctors.....

It was the middle of December, and we couldn't drive anywhere because they closed off all of the roads due to the snow. Because we knew we were having a December baby, we had been preparing for a home birth instead of a hospital one.

Athena: Ahhh!

After Enzo spoke to the doctors, he rushed back into the room.

Enzo: Okay, so, here's what we are gonna do. They told me to go get the mini pool and fill it up with room temperature water!

And Enzo did just that. He moved the coffee table from the middle of the bedroom, and he put the miniature pool where the coffee table used to be.

Athena: Ah, babe, it hurts so bad.....ooh...ooh...

Enzo: Just relax, baby, breathe girl......

Enzo came over to me and held my stomach.

Enzo: Everything is gonna be alright.....

I was wearing dark turquoise panties with a light pink spaghetti strapped tank top with no bra under. That being said, I just got into the water. It felt wonderful, just the perfect temperature. Absolutely fucking wonderful.

Athena: Ah....

After about an hour, the midwives came, and I was in labor for about 13 hours. At around 7:15, I began to push.

Midwife 1: Come on, push, push, push, push, push, push push!

Athena: AHHHHH!!!!

No pain meds or anything crazy like that.

Enzo: You got this....

Enzo was holding me from behind as I pushed.

Athena: OHHHH! AHHHHH!

After about 30 minutes to an hour of pushing, I heard baby cries.

I could feel Enzo crying in my neck, I was crying, and the midwives were all happy.

Midwife 2: Oh my gosh, there she is!

Enzo helped me take off my tank top and set it down beside the pool. I put on a bra, and they set down my baby on my chest.

Her cries were so cute, and she was so beautiful.

Enzo: Look at her....

Enzo kissed my cheek.

Enzo: She looks just like you.....

............

About 3 days later, everything was back to normal, and my stomach was already back to the shape it was before I got pregnant. Enzo was in the room bottle feeding the baby, and I was fresh out of the shower.

Athena: There's my baby!

I smiled, and so did Enzo, I sat next to him, cuddling his arm on the bed.

Enzo kissed me, and I kissed him back.

Athena: She is so cute....

Enzo: She is.....

Athena: I love you Enzo....

Enzo: I love you too...
