NSYNC - the biggest boyband since 1995, has released their latest single, "Digital Getdown 7" as part of their new album, "Still Not Bye Bye Bye". Still as catchy as the first "Digital Getdown", this song has the potential to hit multiple platinum certifications, an expectation of NSYNC. However, some people think it sounds a little bit too similar to "Digital Getdown 5" from their 9th studio album, "Ain't No Lie, We're Still Alive". Nonetheless, this is going to be another hit.

"WHAT?!?!" Justin screamed. Justin Timberlake. You know him - Sexy Back, Suit and Tie. He had refused to acknowledge his former, he shuddered, *boy band* after he had deceived (although he insisted that he never actually *lied*, but he *accidentally omitted* certain details) them into a hiatus, during which he launched his solo career. So now that NSYNC was back, rather that they had never disbanded, he was certain he was going crazy. He would call Trace. Trace would know. Trace would understand.
"Dude! NSYNC's new album is awesome!" Trace Ayala yelled as greeting. Justin wanted to kill him. He was going to get all the information about this NSYNC thing.
"Come on man! NSYNC has been the rage, like forever! You never seemed to like them, but now you're pretending you don't KNOW them? Aww, man. That's just rude." And Trace hung up on him. But Justin still didn't know anything, and he really REALLY needed to know. So he went on Wikipedia.

"Whaaa--?" JC mumbled, rubbing his eyes. JC Chasez. Kinda hard to blame for being clueless. It was some time into the afternoon already, but he's just woken up, so we'll cut him some slack. JC got up and went to his kitchen and downed his 11th cup of tea. Coffee would work better, but JC hated coffee. So he just stocked up on teabags and bought an expensive kettle and dealt with constant teasing from his friends.
He sat down in front of his computer again and re-read the article. How was that possible? JC himself had written up to Digital Getdown 17, but all those music sheets were safely stored in his basement. And where were Digital Getdown 2 to 6 anyway?
JC really wanted to know what was going on. NSYNC was still around? Justin had unceremoniously (well, there had been lots of fanfare) dumped NSYNC and launched his successful solo career, and JC wasn't really bitter about it. He had always known Justin was the star, and he was #2 and would always be. He thought Schizophrenic would have made it just as big as Justified, but in a twist of fate JC didn't get the exposure he needed and Justin had had, and then his music career was dead. And he eventually found out what the pricks and Jive were like and how Johnny didn't really like JC anymore, and then The Story Of Kate was dead too.
But JC was stil rightfully proud of his songs and nostalgic of his old boy band. So this was really confusing the hell out of him. JC shuddered. This was too much, too early. So he went back to sleep.

"What?" Joey murmured. Sure, Joey Fatone wasn't in the best shape right now, but he loved his guys a lot and he really wouldn't mind doing a reunion. But NSYNC had never disbanded? Then why was he at home with Kelly, Briahna and Kloey? He'd ask Kelly. She would probably laugh at him, and that would be the end of that conversation, and Joey would forget all about it, unless maybe Lance called him. Maybe.
Joey knew that besides his boy band, he'd never be singing solo professionally. Maybe for a TV show, or a musical, and he was perfectly happy with that. When he was younger, in better shape and with much fewer commitments, being in the #1 boy band was amazingly fun. But now he'd grown older, grown sideways a fair bit, and he was happy with his family. He hadn't moved on from his best friends, but he'd settled in quite nicely with his own family now. This was all so confusing!
But now, Hi-5 was on, and although he always complained, he really did love watching it with Kloey.

"What?" Chris deadpanned. No one had ever really known Chris Kirkpatrick's name, although he was effectively the founder of his boy band. Despite this, he loved all his guys and was really proud of Justin and how far he'd come, and how far he was sure to go. He tried talking to himself, adding in his dry, sarcastic humour, but the panic in him still rose. How was this possible? He and the guys hadn't even been seen together since 2005, although he planned to invite them all for his wedding.
Perhaps this was all some April Fools' Day joke. *No one* could possibly like Digital Getdown *that* much. Chris knew all about pranks though, being a mastermind at them himself. He knew there had to be a loophole somewhere, carefully disguised and hidden, so once the prank was over, the evil genius could rub it in the faces of the poor victims. Chris rubbed his eyes, squinted, and began to re-read the article over and over again.

"What?" Lance asked. He was the only one in the studio, getting ready for his radio show, Dirty Pop with Lance Bass, so of course, no one answered him. When he had seen all the requests for Digital Getdown 7, he had thought that maybe JC had asked the fans to play a prank on Lance, but NO ONE was betraying the prank at all! So he had logged online, hoping to find out what was going on when he had chanced upon the article by Perez Hilton. There was no way everyone would play along.
After the band went on their indefinite hiatus, Lance had been almost lost. Like Justin, he had practically grown up in the band. But unlike Justin, Lance had not made solid plans for the future. He thought that he'd be one of five forever. Eventually, he turned his sights from one dream to another, only to be offered heartbreak again. Now he was nicely settled in, a steady stream of hot guys at his disposal, a Hollywood Mogul reputation, and a daily radio show. Now that this realistic-seeming prank had come along, Lance was lost again. Sighing, he opened YouTube and searched "NSYNC".
