I should never had told Linh my feelings about Sophie.

She didn't have the time to finish her sentence; Sophie herself just entered the room.

-Hey, sorry to interrupt you. But we need Linh's help.

-I'm coming! By the way, Sophie, you can stay here, I know where to go! shouted my sister before running out of the room.

WHAT WAS SHE TRYING TO DO?! I swear, when she comes back, she won't get off alive. I look at Sophie. She seems to really not understand what is happening. And... Blushing? No, I'm probably dreaming. And even if it was true, it would be because of Linh. Nothing to do with me.

-You can go, I say.

GAWSH, IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO SOUND THAT RUDE! Sophie nods and goes away. WHY DOES THINGS ALWAYS GO WRONG?! IS IT KARMA BECAUSE I BULLIED MY EXILLIUM TEACHERS?!

-Bye, she says calmly.

It's only when she goes out that I found out I was supposed to say bye too. ARGH. After a while of struggling to find a way to engage a normal conversation with... anyone, actually, Linh enters.

-ANYWAYS, I have something to tell you. 

-What? I sigh.

-WHAT?!

She blushes tomato and runs away. I go after her. And ('cause of course, nothing can go right) ... bumps into Sophie. Well, at first, I don't notice it's her, so I just mumble angrily.

-Get out of my way;

-Sure...

OH SHOOT! SHOULD I SAY SORRY? No, that would just be weirder. And anyways, who is affected by being mean, huh? 

I keep running after Linh.

-Wait, Tam!

ARGH! CAN'T SHE SEE IT'S NOT THE MOMENT?

-WHAT? Be quick.

-We need your shadows. We have somebody to... how do you say... read.

Oh. Sounds more important than running after my twin. 

-Okay, I say annoyed.

Sophie brings me to a room with... Gethen.
