Tord's POV:

The night air is cool on my skin. I breathe out loudly, watching as my breathe trails in the air. I'm not sure what made me come out here, but now I'm out.

Strangely enough, my father hasn't even noticed.

I continue walking, no clear destination in mind.

Till at last I come across a bench. I sit down, cringing at the cold wood. Just taking in the blissful night.

Tom's POV:

My pace quickens and so does my breathing. I'm sweating despite the cold weather. Yet still I keep running to who knows where. The distance between me and the house growing.

I'm about to continue running, until I spot a familiar silhouetted. Two bits of hair which stick up like horns.

"Tord...?" I call out hesitantly.

"Tom?" He calls back, Norwegian accent easily identifiable.

"Tord!" I exclaim, happier now.

"Tom!" He calls back, also sounding overjoyed.

I run over, and so does he.

And we meet together, breathless, in each others arms.

"U-ummm... Hi Tord." I say, nuzzling into the hug, enjoying the warmth.

"H-hello Tommie." He responds.

A fugitive glance upwards reveals a cherry red blush painted on his cheeks.

I smile, and back away from the hug.

"Hi Tord." I repeat, unsure why.

"Tom" He answers.

"Soooo...."

"Soooo..."

We stand there in silence, but not uncomfortably so.

"Wanna sit down?" Offers Tord. He gestures towards the bench.

"Sure."

So there we sit, staring at the starless sky.

"Your eyes... they remind me of this." He says at last.

I turn to look at him, curious.

"My eyes?"

"Mhm."

He says no more, so I don't press any further.

"What brings you out so late a night?" The horned boy asks again.

"I needed to clear my head. You?"

"I just... felt the need to go. But I guess that probably was the reason."

"So what's on your mind." I ask.

A venture from the small talk into something more personal.

Tord stares out for a while, seemingly uncertain what to say. He fiddles with his thumbs idly.

"I... Have some issues at home. I'd rather leave it at that."

"Oh." I nod in understanding.

After a while, I speak up again.

"I'm having some... family issues too. It's not very fun, is it?"

Tord shakes his head fiercely.

"But if you think talking might help... I'm always willing to listen."

He looks at me, stunned.

"W-what? But why?"

I grin. "It's the least I could do. You did help me with my small panic attack at school, after all. And I sure don't wanna be the one owing you things."
