Chapter 9/Black Crystals

(Erens POV)

We walked down a road made of some kind of black hard rock. I looked around and saw volcano that released purple lava and blue ash.

Across from that was a extremely large black tower that poured blood out of a few windows. It had a twisted top that was on fire and was mounted to the ground by what looked liked giant glowing veins.

"Is anyone else interested in the fact of all the impossible stuff happening around us?"I questioned.

"Yeah"the two said in unison.

"Where should we go, volcano or tower?"Armin asked.

"Tower"Annie said.

"I agree"I said and we started to walk towards the huge structure. I looked down at the road and saw a skull of some sort with horns.

Then a huge sound of an explosion happened and the ground started to shake violently. We all fell to the ground and started to see a enormous black crystal rise up from the ground it self to the sky. It had the gleam of red and around it the ground looked rugged with ditches and trenches. soon another one rose up about a few feet away from us.

"I say we run to the tower before another one rises"Armin said and Me and Annie nodded in agreement, then took off running. But more started to rise up cause the ground to shake, crumble and open up in more trenches.

We kept running passing by the crystals and trying not to fall in the opened ground until one crystal opened up right next to us and cause the ground to open. We all stumbled a fell but Armin rolled into one of the trenches.

"Armin!!"i yelled and ran to him and saw he was only holding onto a rock that held him a few feet away from the lava below him.

I quickly pulled his arm so he could get out of the trench but it wasn't working since he was some sort of stuck.

"Guys help!"he elked and pieces of rock started to fall down into the lava and I became hot.

Annie then came and we both pulled at him so he can get out but then I herd cracking and looked around to see a large black crystal fall into the trench and Armin became freed from the bind of the rocks.

We pulled him out and ran away of the area, afraid of more crystals rising.

"Finally were out of there, now let's get to that tower"I said and we kept walking towards the tower.

Once we reached it , it was surrounded by a large gap of lava from the front gate to the tower entrance.

"What do we do now?"Annie asked and I looked up and around the tower to see a opened window.

"I know, if we can get to that window then we can get inside, but how"I said

"Like this"Armin stated and grabbed me and Annie into his grasp then jumped up going at least half way of the window.

"Oh my-"I was cut off as he landed on the side of the tower then jumped again landing through the window and onto the floor.

He let us go from his grasp and we wondered about looking through the room it was blood red with what seemed to be a bed room. It was extremely clean for such a place that you would assume to be filthy and full and sadness.

"What do we do now?"Annie asked.

"I think we should look around for any bad guys"I suggested.

"Sounds good, i'll start up statirs and you guys and take the down stairs"Armin said.

We split up, us going down the stairs and looking around. There wasn't much but just small candles on the walls and blood splattered on the walls.

"Such a strange place" I mumbled. We kept walking until we herd the sound of two people talking.

"I just think its best we find the three of them and put a stop to their doings"a feminine voice said.

"Its best that we wait until we jvae a chance to end them instead of going out and looking for them"another voice said more man like. I stumbled back and git the wall knocking down the candle on the wall making a load sound.

"Did you hear that?"the voice said.

"I smell the stench of....virgin blood"the other voice said and Annie started to panic a bit.

"Thats such a rare blood! How in Hell is that possible!"I started to make motions at Annie that we should head back up the stairs.

"We need to get back up stairs, now"I whispered at Annie and we headed back up quickly trying not to make a noise.

We could hear the others walking up the steps as well until we stopped at the very top where Armin should me. I opened the door slowly and peeked through to see the room covered in rubble and Armin unconscious on the floor with blood dripping from his head. My eyes widened at the sight. We rushed in and went to his side to see his weapon dripping with blood as well. I held him close and could here the monsters coming up the steps.

I knew we had to hide somewhere since the monsters were close. I looked around and saw a closet door that was empty. I picked up Armin and ran to the closet with Annie close behind. Annie closed the door and I found some fabric and used it to wrap around his wounds.

Soon I herd the door slam open and we all be came silent. I could hear the steps if the two coming closer  to the closet and walking around until they stopped walking. I was confused as to what was going on until I herd them walk back out before one of them saying-

"Ignorant brat!"
