Mari walked through the dark and rundown streets of Knockturn Alley keeping her hood up as she rushed towards a bookshop, she knew the Malfoy family frequented, having seen Draco come in and out.  Not knowing where else to go her first thought was the Malfoys as they were close to the dark lord, and there were rumors of the dark lord living at Malfoy Manor.  She clutched her wand and letter beneath her cloak.

A woman with an aura of death walked up to Mari, "In such a rush my dear? Why not stay awhile?" she tried to remove Mari's hood.

Mari ducks under her hand, "Sorry can't stay. " she rushed off before the woman could reply, finally finding refuge in the bookshop, the energy of the books tiring her.

the shopkeeper looked up, "Hello young miss what brought you to my humble shop? "

out of breath as the books sap her energy away, Mari struggles out, "The Malfoys, are they here?"

He smiled, "I can not disclose the names of my clientele. Sorry, miss. "

Mari struggled to stay standing, "Please I needed to see them, my father they know my father. "

The shopkeep was about to reply when a melodic voice spoke, "Who was your father, child?" an elegant woman with long black and white hair stepped out of what seemed like a wall.

Mari fell to her knees, "A letter, Voldemort. " she collapsed falling into slumber, the last thing she saw was the woman running up to her catching her as she fell.

Mari woke up to the softest bed she's ever laid in and soft voices.

"is it really her?" a man's voice spoke, gruff but fatherly.

A voice that sounded like the woman from the shop replied, "She had the letter, and as you could see the energy of the dark arts weighed heavily on her as it does on her father. "

the man sighed, "Yes, but her hair?"

"a glamour," the woman dismissed. There was a pause, "she's awake." The sound of footsteps caused Mari to sit up and frantically start to look for her wand.

The woman stepped inside, "Calm down child you're not in danger."

Mari looked over, "Where am I?" her hand continued to move to find her wand.

The woman sat on the edge of the bed as the man moved into view, "Right where you wanted to be dear, Malfoy Manor."

Mari stopped moving and got a good look at the couple. The man had the same coloring as Draco Malfoy; the woman had Draco's features.

"You're Draco's parents?" Mari felt paper on the table snatching it. Holding it close she glanced down, confirming her suspicion that it was her letter.

Mrs. Malfoy smiled, "And your godparents."

Mari frowned feeling the edge of the letter, "You read my letter didn't you?"

Mr. Malfoy smiled, "Before it was sent to you, yes. My dear wife help put the protection spells on it."

"Oh," Mari fidgeted, "So you know who it says my parents are?"

Mrs. Malfoy smiled, "I hope I would, my parents raised your mother like my sister."

Mari frowned, "Like your sister, Mrs Malfoy? Is she not?"

She laughed, "Oh no my mother and her father were close and so when her parents passed when we were little we took her in. and you can call me Narcissa dear" Narcissa looked through the window, "She's in Azkaban now, but hopefully-" She paused, "Well that's nothing to concern you with dear. Right now you are to go through some spell detection tests. If you're up for it of course."

Mari nodded, "I need to know if what the letter said is true!" She stood up ready to go.

Mrs. Malfoy hesitated, "are you sure?"

Mari looked worried that she'd have to wait, "Please Narcissa! I need to know."

Narcissa smiled sadly, "ok dear." She stands and held out her hand to Mari. Mari took her hand and walked with her out of the room. "These tests might be painful. You are sure?"

Mari nodded putting on a brave face, "Im positive."

Narcissa nodded, "Ok this way." Narcisa brought Mari to the library and stops at the door for a second before walking in. "Tiberius here is going to preform the tests."

Mari looked into the room and saw a man who reminded her of an older version of her classmate Theodore Nott. She stepped inside.

The man looked over and smiled warmly, "Ah Miss please have a seat." Mari walked over and Tiberius pulled out a small knife, "I'll need to take a drop of blood for the spell detection test then if there are spells we will do the spell dispulsion."

Mari swallowed and nodded, "Ok." She held her hand out to him.

He gently took her hand and pricked her finger and pressing it to the paper. As she pulled her finger away the blood left behind swirled into words. Tiberius read over it his eyebrows furrowing more with each word. He mumbled to himself, "a glamour yes. Some cloaking spells of course, and," he pauses eyes widening, "a magic suppressor? I guess that makes sense."

Mari sat silently waiting for him to finish. Narcissa came over to stand next to her, placing a gently hand on her shoulder.

Tiberius looks up and smiles, "It looks like the heir has been returned."
