This world is just a dream. Nothing but a dream.

The soft blue sky hanging above the clouds floating by. The people in this animated town, filled with joy. They're not living in reality.

Do they know that too?

Our Lady promised us freedom and eternal happiness. Is that what she had meant..? Trapping us in a world she created, erasing our memories of the real world.

What is reality? Am I truly free, just as she had promised?

"Sol."

I looked up, glancing into her eyes. Our Lady. The precious Patron who has promised us eternal comfort.

She stared down at me, empty golden eyes meeting my own simple violet ones. It felt as if time had stopped. Now that I was truly looking, her eyes seemed cold. Utterly emotionless.

She always seemed to be warm, and full of life.

Was it all a lie? I don't know.

She lifted a hand and placed it on my head, patting me gently.

"Are you alright child?" She asked, her voice wrapping around me in a gentle embrace.

"Yes." I replied. It was a lie though. Or was it? I say I'm not fine, but in reality, I feel normal. Perfectly normal, despite the truth hanging above me like a noose, patiently waiting to strangle me. Yet, I feel fine. Why?

I cannot even tell my own lies no longer. Does deception even exist in a world where she constantly watches over us? Does deception exist in a world where truth does not exist?

She promised us eternal life. Perhaps that wasn't a lie.

But this world is. It must be.

Or is it?

Perhaps it's some sick fragmented reality that we are forced to live in. Forever.

Am I even human anymore?
