I looked around, and saw a golden palace. My feet were throbbing by the time I got to the Palace. All the people were wearing old-timey robe dresses. I wove through the crowds until I got to a market place. I was starving, and I had no idea how long I had been out. I bought something that looked like a pear, but tasted even sweeter.
Since I wasn't hungry anymore, I had to find out where I was without giving away I didn't know what this place was.
I walked up to another booth covered in what looks like newspapers. The title of the newspaper was The Asgardian News. So if the name of the people was Asgardians, the name of this place must be Asgard. I was basically in mythology, specifically Norse mythology.
I needed to change my clothes, so I hid behind an empty booth. I snapped my fingers and nothing happened. I closed my eyes, and imagined that I was invisible. I opened my eyes, and when I looked down I couldn't see myself. I stood up, and walked out from behind the booth.
I spun around in a circle, hoping to find someone who looked in charge. Everyone in the square looked like the people of Asgard, not the people in charge. I started walking towards the palace, walking around the back, and going in through the back door.
The ceiling was a hundred feet high, and the hallway stretched for miles. After twenty minutes I found a room, and turned into it. No one was in it, so I reappeared. It took a lot of energy to stay invisible, and I collapsed on the couch by the door. I shut the door, and sighed. A knife whizzed past my head, and hit the wall behind me. I looked in the direction it came from, and it was a black haired woman.
"Who are you?" Even though her voice was deep, it was smooth and angelic.
"I could ask the same thing."
You're the one intruding in my home."
"Fair. I'm Elena." I popped my thumb, which is only something I do when I lie.
"Hela, goddess of death." She looked over at me, her eyes boreing into mine.
"Cool." I pulled the knife out of the wall, and threw it back at her. She caught the blade between her fingers, inches from her face.
I started walking around what seemed to be her room, running my fingers along every article of furniture I could touch.
"Would you stop touching everything?" I lifted my fingers from the dresser.
"Of course."
"Why are you in the palace? And I don't think I would forget a girl like you."
"Um, yeah. About that. I'm running from someone, and I decided to come here, seeking refuge."
"I don't believe you."
"You don't? I thought I was convincing."
"Did you just admit you lied to me?"
"I did. And my actual name is Ellie."
"That's what you lied about. So you are really running from someone?"
"Yep."
"How did you even get here?" The door to the room slammed open, and a spear was thrown directly into my rib cage.
My hands went to the spear as I fell to the ground. I gripped the spear tighter, and it disappeared. Hela had also disappeared. I stood back up, and caught the next spear thrown at me.
"You shouldn't have done that." I screamed, and a blue wave of power knocked everyone around me to the ground.
An older man walked into the room with one soldier on each side, their blades drawn.
"How did you get here?" Hela had reappeared behind the old man.
"How did I get here? I actually have no idea. One minute I was in a grey room, and the next I was on a rainbow bridge."
The man approached me, and held his hand out.
"Come with me, dear." I hesitantly took his hand, and he led me to the library. He grabbed a book off the shelf, and gave it to me.
"This book will hold the answers you desire." He left me alone.
I had read that entire book, and had found one thing which explained why I could be invisible. The aether is one of the six infinity stones, also known as the reality stone. One of the four stones they injected me with.
I found the old man and Hela in the throne room.
"I should go back to Earth now. Thank you."
"You should stay. We could use a sorcerer like you in our ranks. And I do insist."
"Okay. I'll stay. On one condition. I get to go back in three years. And I'll come back eventually."
"Deal." I left the throne room, and headed to the training area to hone my new skills.
A Year Later- Still at Asgard
I was training with a few guards when a blade shot through the air, lodging itself in my thigh. I looked in the direction it was thrown, and saw Hela smirking at me. I rolled my eyes and pulled it out, grimacing. My body healed itself immediately. One of the soldiers decided to take advantage of my distracted state. I ducked to the side, knocked the knife out of his hand, grabbed his arm, and flipped him over, his arm pinned behind his back. I got off of him, and held out my hand to help him up.
He pushed it away, got up, and sulked off.
"You're getting better, E."
"And you missed. You hit me in the thigh."
"I never miss."
"Why did you hit me in the thi-." While I had been talking she had moved incredibly close to me.
"Why are you so close?" I squeaked out.
"Because I want to do this." Her right hand grabbed the back of my neck, and connected our lips. I wrapped my arms around her neck, pulling me closer to her. Her hand had snaked down my torso, landing on my hips. I never wanted this to end, but I was beginning to lose my breath. I pulled away, gasping for air. I reconnected our lips. This kiss was more passionate than the last, if that was even possible.
Hela broke the kiss, and started kissing down my neck. I tilted my head, and moaned as she kissed my sweet spot.
"Not here." She pulled away, and noticed we were still in the training area.
"I agree." She grabbed my hand, and we walked back into the palace.
2 Years Later
"I can't. I just can't."
"You have to, Ellie. She is too bloodthirsty. We have to put an end to her efforts. I sent the Valkyrie after her, and she killed them all."
"I love her."
"I know you do. But think of the world, she will lay waste to it all."
"I'll do it." Tears pricked in my eyes as I left the throne room. I burst through the doors of Hela's room.
"What's wrong, E?"
"I have to get you out of here, now. Let's go."
"Okay, I'm coming."
"Your father wants to kill you." I opened the secret passageway I had created. I had told Odin to follow us at a distance, to be ready with the orb.
Once we got to the door, I stopped and turned.
"I love you. I just need you to know that."
"You're not coming with me?"
"I'll hold them back as long as I can." I moved towards her, and kissed her. A dagger appeared in my hand, and I stabbed her in the heart. Tears clouded my vision, and Odin grabbed my arm, steadying me.
"I'm sorry, Hela. I had to. You have gone too far." I was led away by a guard who had wrapped his arm around me. I looked back at her, and saw a blur of black light. She was gone.
