After twenty years of being trapped in my own mind, I was finally free from Hydra's control. I had done horrible things, and I couldn't hide from Hydra on Earth. I was going back to Asgard. After all this time, I was fulfilling my promise to come back.
I ducked into the closest room in Hydra's base, and opened a portal to Asgard. I walked through it and appeared on the same rainbow bridge years later. Only this time I was greeted. Armed soldiers had formed a circle around me, their spears inches from impaling me.
Odin walked towards me.
"Is this really how you greet an old friend?" The corners of his mouth rose, and he signaled for his men to stand down.
"It's good to have you back, Ellie. Welcome home." I followed him back to the palace. The gates opened, and I found my way back to mine and Hela's room. I pushed open the doors, and the room hadn't changed a bit.
"You know where I'll be, E. Enjoy your time here." Odin left me alone in the room, shutting the door behind him.
I walked over to the floor length mirror, and noticed I looked pretty good despite just escaping Hydra. I turned around, and took at the closet, balcony, and bed, undisturbed since I left.
Thor's POV
I was walking around the palace when I noticed that the forbidden room's door was open. I walked towards it, and peered into the room. Inside was a beautiful blonde haired woman I had never seen before. I knocked on the door, and she jumped.
"Who are you?" She asked me, staring at me with her menacing blue orbs.
"Thor. And you are?"
"Ellie." Her voice was void of emotion.
"Why are you in this room?"
"It's my room. I just left for a little while, but I'm back now."
"This is the forbidden room, at least that's what my father calls it."
"Wait, your father's Odin?" She looked shocked. "He never told me about you."
"Well, he never told me about you either."
"Of course he didn't."
"Why wouldn't he?"
"Because I was here before you were even born."
"How? You look so young."
"The first time I traveled here, I went back in time. Don't ask me how. Now, I just came to Asgard, no strings attached."
"So time travel is real?"
"Yeah, basically."
"You're a very interesting Midguardian."
"Midguardian?"
"Asgardian word for the people of Earth." She smirked and walked out of the room.
"Hey, where are you going?"
"To the training grounds, you coming?" She knew the way to the training grounds? Of course she did, she must have gone to them a thousand times the last time she was here.
Ellie's POV
After I had left the training grounds from training with Thor, I was still in shock that Odin had a son. After what happened after Hela, I thought he would never have other children.
The palace was still the same as it was a thousand years ago, plus there was the updated Bifrost. I needed to reacquaint myself with the palace, so I took the next right. The corridor was long, just like all the other corridors in the palace. There was something different about this one though, it was colder than the others.
I pulled the dagger out of my belt, and waited for the frost giant to show themselves. I backed against a wall, and peered into the nearest room. It was empty, probably a storage room. After checking most of the rooms, I walked into the room at the end of the hall. I was met with a hand grabbing my dagger from me and holding it to my neck.
The person who had taken my dagger had a striking resemblance to Hela, only they were a man.
"Who are you and what do you want?" I grabbed his right hand, twisted it behind his back, and threw him on the ground.
"I am so sick of people asking me that! It's so annoying. I'm Ellie, and I'm an old friend of Odin's." Black hair was still lying on the ground, a confused look on his face. After he saw me looking at him, he smirked.
"And I'm Loki. Prince of Asgard. The person you just knocked over." Man, this guy was cocky, and incredibly handsome.
"So, you're Thor's brother?" His eyes widened, and he nodded.
"You've met Thor?"
"Yeah. I met him like four hours ago." Loki had gotten up, and was sitting on the duvet.
"Does every room in this place have a couch?" Loki nodded.
"Can I ask you a question?"
"Sure."
"It's about your brother. I just don't want to make you feel like I'm intruding."
"You're not. Ask away."
"Has your brother always been this arrogant?" Loki pursed his lips together. The look on my face must've been hilarious, because he burst out laughing.
"What's so funny?"
"He...has always...been that way." He put a hand over his mouth, muffling his laughter.
"So he's basically a good-looking dumb ass?" Loki looked over at me, and nodded.
