The next morning both woke up doing the same activity they fell asleep doing and got dressed up for the temple. PJ took their nazar as they made their way to the temple along with the whole MPT and CID team. Since AS has woken up in the morning he has been feeling more protective towards HM and refused to let her move away from his side even for a second. While the others teased and thought he was in his honeymoon phase only AS and HM knew what he was feeling. For once even she felt that fear of losing her beloved, there was something about today that wasn't right something felt off to her too therefore she didn't refuse his touches, she needed them too. After doing the darshan they went to a nearby tela for chai when out of nowhere there was firing aimed at their direction. The team was totally unprepared for this and immediately took cover and tried protecting any civilians who were there. ACP quickly called for backup, but the firing was getting closer and closer every second. The team decided to enter the field with anything that can be used as a weapon. They successfully took down the goons when their boss came out of hiding and aimed at AS his main target when HM jumped in the middle taking the bullet that had his name shooting the goon between his eyes using the gun she took when fighting off a goon. Everyone screamed her name rushing to her immediately. AS nursed her trying to stop the bleeding "ankh mat band kijea ga Priye please hum hai apke pass" he said as Daya immediately got the car taking her to the hospital.
HM was immediately taken to the OT and the doctors started their work on her. They came out after a good few hours and informed that they have shifted her to the ICU and her situation was critical. They were unsure if she would make it as the bullet was laced in poison so if the bullet didn't do the job the poison would. The team were broken as they waited outside praying. Someone once said the hospital walls have heard more prayers than any church, temples or mosques and looking at the scene now one would know why. AS and KS sat down outside the ICU watching HM while PS, SS and CC sat in front of the temple praying while the CID team dealt with the culprits. The doctor called AS a few days later as he had an update on HM "I would advise you to say your goodbyes while you have your chance, I'm sorry but your wife is slipping away. we have done everything we can but there are no signs of improvement and keeping her alive on machines will only cause her more pain." AS felt the earth under his feet slip as he digested the news. he wanted to kill the doctor for saying this but he remembered the dream he had last night where he saw his wife, ma, baba and in-laws happily chatting away in a garden spending time as a family telling him they are waiting for his wife and how he still has a lot to achieve before he can reach them. The doctor looked at him sympathetically as they notified every one of the same. The doctor walked out letting everyone say their goodbyes.
Everyone spoke to her individually begging her to wake up and fight, telling her what she meant to them, where she stood in their life and how much they need her. Unfortunately, that didn't change a thing for HM as she continued slipping away making her way towards her ammi, abbu and in-laws who were there waiting for her. AS and KS were the only ones allowed in by the doctors as they took her off the life support. She opened her eyes signing him to come near her which he immediately did taking one last look at the man she loves the most mumbling "hum apse bohot mohobat karte hai Anu. Hume maaf kar dijea ga apko diye sare vachan pure nahi kar paye. Hum..." taking off her oxygen mask "hum humesha apke pass hai apke dil mein. Ho sake toh apne app ko dusra mauka dijea ga aur humare hisse ki jindagi bhi ji lehlejea ga. Apna aur sabka dhyan dijea ga ammi abbu humari raah dekh rahe hai. KS sabka dhyan rakeyga aur apna bhi. apni sabse kimti cheez apko saup rahe hai" pecking her hand and cupping his face with a smile. AS cupping her face back trying not to cry "bohot pyar karte hai apse Priye. jald milenge" joining their lips as she closed her eyes feeling him for the last time as she slipped away to the land of internity.
A few years later
a girl was seen trying to wake her baba up "bua jaldi aye! baba apni ankhe nahi khol rahe hai" she tried shaking him and checking his pulse as a sob broke out of her mouth realising her father is no more.
KS who rushed there and checked her brother, upon relaising he is no more she hugged her "shant hojao Haseena apke baba apke ammi ke pass chale gaye hai. woh kabse iss din ka intezar kar rahe the. ab kushi kushi unhe wida karo bache. apke baba ne apni sari zimedariya puri kar liye hai yaha pe ab unka unki patni ki aur zimedari nibane ka waqt ah gaya hai. jab woh guzri thi tab woh bikar gaye the zinda lash ban chuke the jab apke nanu ne unhe apki ammi ke freeze kiye ando ke bare mein bataya unhone ek mauka liye apne kismat ko azmane ka. bohot koshishi ke baad 10 mein se sirf 5 embryos successful hue. doctors mein implant kiye bbohot baar unke nasib ne sath nahi diya phir ek apkri baar koshih ki gayi akri doh ke sath. apko pata hai unn doh embryo mein se sirf ek hi lad jagad ke bacha tha aur woh app thi humari sher bachi. apke baba ke aur ammi ki akri nishani ekdum unke jaise jabaz yodha bani app. unhone apko sambala bada kiya, apko ke behtarin agent aur phir DSP banaya, apki shadi kiya, apke bacho ko deka aur kya chaiye tha unhe siwaye unke patni ke sath ke? aur ab jo unhe mauka mila unhone leh liya. chaliye DSP Haseena Singh apke baba ko humara akhri salam deh dijea" saluting him wiping her tears. HS salutes her father and giving him a last kiss and cuddle she pulled away preparing him for his last journey to his beloved.
A woman was seen sitting on a bench starring at the moon when a man walked to her "zyada dher toh nahi ho gayi na hume" he asked kneeling in front of her. She smiled and nodded a no "bhilkul bhi nahi" making him sit next to her resting her head on his shoulder while he side hugged her "ab hume koi bhi apse alag nahi kar sakta Priye." he kissed her crown while she smiled in agreement as they both faded away to the place they belonged.
