THIRD PERSON'S POV

The sound of water dripping from the roof echoed around the quiet room. A figure laid still on the bare floor, eyes shut and a strange black substance dripping from the mouth. Shallow breaths could be heard from it as its chest rose and fell heavily with much difficulty.

The figure wriggled around and suddenly sat up with a jolt. He panted heavily and looked around in disbelief, his hands raced over every inch of his skin as if confirming something.

"I'm alive?" He whispered in uncertainty, still observing.

He gently rose to his feet and tested his limbs. The fact that they were working fine should have been relieving but it instead added to his confusion.

"Micheal?" He yelled out the name of his newly made friend. He was sure to have an answer for this bizarre situation, except he got no response.

"Micheal?" He yelled even louder this time, yet still no response

What was happening?!.The metallic taste in his mouth was proof he wasn't hallucinating, he truly should be dead.

He could tell he was still in his cell but something felt off, unnatural even.

Suddenly, the gentle sound of metal hitting the ground filled the room and he flinched. He swiftly turned around, his eyes trying to peer through the thick darkness. Nothing came out of his search but a deep sinking feeling of fear.

He knew for a fact that he wasn't alone. Another's presence could be felt heavily in the room. He let out a breath, trying to calm his racing heart.

He internally groaned. He would pick death, any day, anytime, over this mentally draining emotional rollercoaster. Why couldn't he just die?.

"Who's there?!" He demanded with a strong voice, feigning confidence.

No response.

He gulped as he began taking gentle steps towards the area he felt the presence. His whole body quivered in fear and confusion.

A bright blood red light shone around the room, almost blinding him. His reflexes kicked in, he shut his eyes and took a stance ready to attack anyone who showed up.

When he sensed nothing was happening, he slowly opened his eyes, giving them time to adjust to the sudden and strange light. The light had no source, it shone but couldn't be traced, like the room was painted in a flash.

He suddenly noticed a wide hole in the middle of the room, It definitely wasn't ever there until now. His chest rose and fell in panic as he observed it from a distance.

Darkness and strange noises, like distant screams, emitted from it and his fear spiked to a whole new level, if that was even possible.

His legs moved on their own accord till he found himself at the edge of the hole. With incredible swift, a hand came through the darkness and held on to one of his feet. It was decorated with claws, scales and stained with a red substance that he prayed wasn't blood.

His eyes widened in shock and he let out a loud scream as he fell to the ground and fought to set his leg free. Another hand latched on to his other foot , pulling him harder into the hole.
