"Emily get out of my room!! I swear go to your own!" I shouted at Emmaline who wouldn't leave me alone to read.
"I already told you, I'm hiding from dad." she explained again.
"Why exactly are you hiding from our father?"
"Because" she sighs, "I snuck out."
"Why do you feel the need to party? I mean it's pretty nice right here in the quiet." I explain.
She groans, "you're so fucking boring."
"Dad might kill you if he caught you using that language." I scoff picking my book back up, the two enemies had just kissed when Emmaline barged in.
"I'm serious. Do you literally do anything else? I don't think I have ever seen you without a book since the first grade." she laughs, and I throw the book at her, she caught it and read the cover, "the cruel prince? What's that? Sounds awful."
"Give it back!' I snatch the book out of her hand.
"Ok, so I'm picking up some sort of anger here,"
I glare at her, "You think. I didn't think you needed your powers for that." I said sarcastically, "still not far you got abilities." I complain.
"Hey, there's still hope you might get them," she comforted me.
"EMMALINE!!" Dad's voice rumbled.
"Shit real name this time. Gota go!" she said before taking off. I roll my eyes and go back to reading.

"GIRL!! Your Dad is sooo pissed right now." Keira says when she came into my room. "though Alex is also in trouble so I'm happy!" she smiles
"Wait. He also snuck out?!" I asked, and when she nodded, I let out a laugh.
"Yeah, my mum was pissed, never saw her redder." she said though a smile.
"You used your invisibility, didn't you?" I accused.
"Duh! You think they let me witness the grounding of the century!!" I roll my eyes and laugh, "on another note I found out something HUGE!"
"Naz is pregnant?" I made a joking guess.
Keira laughed, "Nope. but I wouldn't be surprised if she was to be honest." we both laugh, "Anyway. ONE DIRCTION BROKE UP!!"
"Keira, they're dead." I remind her.
"Yeah, I know that, but I thought they were still together when then died!!" I roll my eyes and hold the bridge of my nose. "We should play a CD."
"Good Idea," I smile and grab both our favorite, "KID KROW" and put it into the stereo, then press play.
♪This hurt that I'm holding's getting heavy...♪
The music played in the background while we talked.
We somehow ended up on the topic of abilities, "I'm sure you'll get yours soon. I am older then you." she bragged.
"By six months. And you got yours six months ago." I explain.
"You got me there."
A knock hit the open doorframe and Kenji was there. "Keira, we got to go, hey J jr." he addressed me before turning to Keira again.
"Ok, well see you soon! Keep being your badass self and those abilities are sure to kick in!" she gave me a wink and left.
A message came through my flip phone. They have developed cell phones again, but they weren't how they used to be, currently they have just recreated flip phones, and recently redeveloped ones that can send messages.

"Dad please, its one game." Emily wasn't giving up; she had been begging him for hours. Mum convinced me to come out of my room, but I still had my book with me.
"Maybe you should have thought about that before sneaking off." Dad said.
Mum came over and sat next to me on the couch, "How's the book?" she asked.
I answered, "good." without even looking up.
"You know I dragged you out of that room to socialized right?" she said taking my book, and i let out a groan. suddenly my phone buzzed. I pulled it out and found a message from Keira.

"Who's that?" Mum asked.
"Keira,"
"Ahhh, did she talk to you about the gathering in a week yet?"
"The What!!"
"Leila this happens every year I never know why you act so surprised?"
"I still hate them." I explain.
"I know you do, but Keira is there," she reminds me
"Still don't like it."
"It's only three days."
"A lot can happen in three days,"
Mum sighs, "I will never understand you. I swear you are definitely your dad's."
"At least I'm his."
Mum mocked looking offended, and laughed, "yeah you're defiantly his."
"Dad, please it's one night." Emily continued to beg.
"No, you're grounded till the gathering. End of discussion." Dad went into his office and Emily sat down next to us on the couch.
"You're never going to change his mind you know." Mum tells her, "Shouldn't have snuck out."
"Yeah, yeah I know."
