i've been lying in my bed the entire day, dreading going to the party at pedri's house. i considered canceling and not going but i don't want to disappoint bruna.

i check the time on my phone, two pm. i decide it's time to get ready and i reluctantly get out of bed. i make my way to the bathroom, telling myself i am going to try to have a good time.

after my shower, i quickly did my makeup and put on a casual but cute outfit. i head over to bruna's room to check up on her. i knock on the door to which she invites me in.

"how's it go-" i'm taken aback to see clothes all over her bed and floor "what happened in here?"

"i don't know what to wear..." she says in frustration.

"it's a house party... just wear something casual like i did." i showcase my outfit to her.

"yeah well, you don't have anyone to impress there and i do..."

"first of all, that feels a bit offensive... second, he's already impressed by you. there's no need to go all out," i reassure her, starting to pick up her clothes from the ground.

"i just want to look my best."

"and i get that," i pick up some pieces of clothing and toss them to her "wear these."

she analyzes the clothes i picked out for her and she nods in approval "thanks, i don't know what i'd do without you."

"that doesn't go there!" pedri can be heard yelling from two planets away.

hector had volunteered himself and me to help set up pedri's house for the party. it was a goddamn house party but pedri was for some reason going all out.

"calm down pedro, you're acting like you're planning the fucking met gala." hector attempts to relax the stressed-out man.

"yeah like five people are going to show up, you're good..." i add on to which pedri rolls his eyes.

"you guys really wanted to get uninvited or something, huh?"

"hey, we're just trying to help..." hector defensively retorts.
