I couldn't stop thinking about what happened to Mitch. I tried to sleep without thinking too much, but I just can't help it. I can't help but think about her.
2:56 AM
I was finally deep asleep and I didn't even realize that I had fallen asleep. I was sleeping peacefully, not until I had a dream, and it was terrible. I had a dream where I was with Mitch inside the hospital, we were talking and stuff, I saw her smile at me in my dreams. That sweet, precious smile of hers. And after a few moments later, she suddenly had a flat line. My heart was racing that time, I was currently panicking. I felt different kinds of emotions. Sadness, fear, and anger. I felt sad because she left the world too early, I felt scared because I was scared of losing her. And I felt angry, because I couldn't do anything, she was nice to me and would do anything just to see me happy. Soon, the nurses and doctor arrived inside the room. I was disconsolate because of what I just witnessed, it all felt too real. And that's when I woke up, drenched in sweat, and I realized I was crying in my sleep because of my dream.
3:49 AM
I fell asleep once again due to my tiredness. Glad that I did not have any dreams after that, and hopefully nothing happened to her. I will pay her a visit after school.

5:03 PM
I was on my way to the hospital, I even forgot about visiting my friends in the other classrooms. My mind was full of thoughts, I couldn't stop thinking about what could possibly happen to Mitch. I kept pedaling and pedaling until I reached the hospital. As soon as I entered the hospital, I went to the third floor of this building. I finally reached the room where she was and knocked on it.
Knock knock
No response
Knock knock
Again, no response.
I tilted the door knob and opened the door. Mitch was lying on the bed, with no one else inside the room. I sat on the chair beside the bed and stared at her for a moment. I had an urge to stroke her hair but I stopped myself.
“...”
Even if I say something, she won't hear it. She's asleep, still in a coma. It hurts to see her in this state.
“...”
Knock knock
“...huh?”
Someone was knocking.
The door slightly opened. The hair looked familiar... It was June.
“June?”
I thought he was all by himself, but he brought our other friends. The group was here.
“Oh hey... You're already here. Why didn't you say anything about this?” Yuna asked.
“I'm sorry for not telling... I didn't know what to do, my mind was full of thoughts and I completely forgot about telling this to you... I'm sorry.”
I apologized to them.
“No worries, we understand.”
June replied.
“So... How's her condition? When will she wake up? I already miss hanging out with her.” Mia talked.
“Her mom said... She's in a coma. They don't know when she'll wake up...”
“I see...” I noticed that everyone had a frown on their faces.
“...” Deokbong placed a plushie on the table right next to the bed.
“Cute...” June smiled slightly.
“I'll spend my time here for a while...”
The door opened. We all turned to look to see who just entered the room.
“Oh, hello. You must be Michelle's friends, right? Thank you for paying her a visit.” It was... Michelle's mother?
We all bowed down to show some respect.
“Nice to meet you all. May I ask which one here is... Wooin?” Her mom asked us. I felt a little nervous.
“It's me... I'm Wooin. Wooin Yoo, ma'am...”
“May I talk with you for a moment...? If it's alright, can we talk outside the room?” My heart was beating fast, I didn't know why I was feeling nervous.
“Yeah...” I nodded.
We headed outside of the room to talk privately.
“Nice to meet you, young man. I did mention that my daughter often mentions your name whenever she's talking about how her day went.”
“Yes, ma'am... Why do you ask?”
“You both seem very close to each other, do you often hang out with her?”
“Um... Yes, ma'am.” I don't know why I was feeling very nervous.
“Does she often smile or act very happy when she's with you?”
“Yeah...” I don't know but this one question was a little weird.
“That's good to hear. I'm happy to know that she often smiles when she hangs out with you. If you're wondering why I'm asking these kinds of questions... It's because she has problems with his father, and when she's not at home, she's often grumpy and we barely see her happy. But I keep noticing that when I ask her how her day is, she'd always say it's alright. When I told her to tell me the stories that happened during the day, she'd mention you very often and I would notice her faint smile on her face.” Her mother explained.
“Oh, I understand, ma'am.” I was honestly shocked when I heard that.
“Y'know, she was bullied back in elementary so she had trouble making friends. But now I'm glad that she has many friends, I'm grateful that she met all of you. Sometimes, I fail to make her happy but I try my best, always. I just want to see her happy...” She smiled at me.
“Could you do me a favor?”
“Yes, ma'am? What is it?” My hands are cold. I was definitely nervous.
“It's just a simple favor but it might sound weird. Please make my daughter happy.” She smiled at me once again. I'm not even sure if I'm truly making Mitch happy, but I'm sure that she's the one who can make me show my real smile.
“Will do my best, ma'am.” I smiled.
We went back inside the room and saw that my friends were still there.
