Annie's P.O.V
I ain't scared of any socs. I picked up a pop bottle and broke it against the fence, I told Ashley to go with Selena, since Selena was dressed up like a soc so she could promise some protection. They hopped out of the car. "Well, look what we have here, a couple of broads." Bob Shelden smelt like stale tobacco and beer. I knew I could take him. There was another soc in the car, I could take them too.
" Don't mess with me, you'll leave this fight half-dead" I said, looking tuff. I heard people approaching the scene. I didn't really pay attention to them.
"Look we don't want any trouble. I just have a question. What's a Poirier doing with a broken pop bottle and wearing those clothes." Bob seemed just as confused I was. " Your family has a boatload of money, we live next to each other, I would know." He explained.
"Well um I just trying out a new look. I'm just seeing what it's like to be a greaser, everything is fine." I tried to play along. Wow, apparently I had money in every decade. Next thing I knew a gang of boys showed up. Could it be? No! It was Dallas Winston and the whole gang! I stood there in shock. Bob went back into his car. He seemed scared.
"You girls okay?" Ponyboy asked, he seemed older than he was.
"Yeah we're fine, I could of held 'em off." I responded. Dally pushed through the boys he seemed eager to talk to me. I got nervous. He was tall and handsome his eyes seemed cold.
"You seem like a tuff group of broads, especially you. It was smart for you to break that bottle, I've only seen broads try to run and hide, but not you."Dally smiled a crooked smile, it was adorable.
" Well I just didn't want them to get hurt, their all I got. You dig?". I felt safe talking to him.
Tiana's P.O.V
When I realized we were talking to the gang I couldn't help but stare at two-bit, I guess he noticed because he said "You like what you see?" Waving a hand in front of my face,
"You wish!" I tried to play it off he laughed
" You dig okay baby". I looked around at my gang and they were just as shocked as me, especially Ashley, she stood hiding behind Selena barely poking her head out. "You okay?" Her face was bright red
"I'm literally looking at Johnny Cade of course I'm not okay." She said in barely a whisper. This was just like how I pictured it happening, it was so real but seemed so much like a dream at the same time.
"So where are you dolls headed?" asked Steve.
"To the dingo. Wanna come with?" Andrea tried to sound calm but I could tell she was really freaking out on the inside.
"Sure but Steve, Soda and I need to be back at work by 3" Darry explained. We all looked at eachother and smiled, this was probably the best day of my life.
Katie's P.O.V
The dingo was real fun, we got to know the gang and honestly, they were just how I thought they'd be. Ponyboy was sweet and sensitive. Two-bit was hilarious and outgoing, Dallas was tuff and tough. Johnny was shy at first, but he was warming up to us. Steve was crazy in a good way and loved doing flips off of cars, Darry was sweet but very protective over his brothers. Sodapop was a doll, a sweetheart like Ponyboy.
They were all just like how the book described them, maybe even better.
Ashley's P.O.V
Dally came back with sodas and popcorn for everyone. He gave up on Cherry because he was really focused on Annie they were getting along real well. I couldn't help but stare at Johnny instead of watching the movie, everytime he would laugh or smile at something I swear it was like my heart stopped. It made me so frustrated that his parents beat him, how could you even think about hurting him he was like a little lost puppy.
I looked over to see what everyone else was doing, I watched as Annie and Dally pointed out socs and laughed at them. every time someone tried to walk past them they would stick out their foot and laugh as people tripped over them. They were real cute together and honestly, I hadn't seen Annie this happy in a long time.
Katie and pony were just enjoying the movie and pointing out things they thought were funny or interesting to each other. I turned back to Johnny surprised to see him already looking at me "Uh oh sorry" he said awkwardly
I laughed "it's okay".
I started to watch the movie again when I heard someone say "THERE YOU ARE GREASER!" I turned around relieved to see it was only Two-bit. Johnny's face went white "Here have a beer it'll calm your nerves." he said handing him a beer bottle in a paper bag.
"I'll be taking that" Dallas said laughing he went to drink it when Annie took it from him and started to drink it. They both laughed "You dig okay doll." Dally said with a grin.
Johnny's P.O.V

All I could do was look at Ashley. She looked magical, the light from the movie screen reflected off her face, she looked adorable. Her laugh was gold, a cute little giggle. When that girl with the olive head (I think her name was Malaria...) (AN: it's just a joke chilllll if you're a marcia fan😂) asked me if I wanted to sit with us I said no, I started to fall for Ashley. I really never loved anybody, my parents didn't care about me, and I loved Dallas like a brother. My heart felt like it was sinking, my stomach had butterflies.
Dally's POV
I watched Annie laugh at the socs. She seemed really happy, but after she laughed, there was always pain in her eyes. She was just like me, I was always ashamed that I was a greaser, so I try to hide it. I think Annie saw that, and I think I saw that in Annie. We made eye contact. I looked into her eyes they were green, we just stared at eachother. I took her by her hand and kissed her. It felt unreal. I forgot all about Slviya and the fact that Johnny was sitting right next to me. Johnny punched me in the shoulder, it got my attention for sure. "Wow Dal, I've never have seen you like that." he seemed really surprised.
"Like what?'' I replied
"Well it's just I've never seen you look at a girl like that, not even Slviya. are you okay? I thought about what Johnny said. I stood up and took Annie by the wrist, she seemed shocked. We walked out of the Nightly Double, I turned to her and said: "Can we take a walk, I wanna get to know you?"
"Sure, I guess." She responded excitedly. She was actually happy to talk to me, most girls make faces when I walk by. "What's your past, like what broke you?'' she seemed taken back by my answer.
"Um well lets see, my dad passed away when I was 12 and people use to use me, because my mom is rich, all they want is my money. It sucks, so instead of acting hurt I started acting tough, so people wouldn't wanna hurt me." She seemed like she was going to cry. " I never really open up to people, so I guess i kinda suffer inside." She went on. I could relate to her.
" I would never use you. And I think you're a tuff girl no matter what, you've been through a lot and I want you to be happy". I put my arm around her.
Annie's POV
WHAT THE FRICKITY FRICK JUST HAPPENED! Dallas Winston kissed me! I could not believe what just happened. We even talked about our problems, I made up my mind, I wanted to stay here, nowhere else, at this very moment I just wanted to be with him.
Ponyboy's P.O.V
Katie and I got along real well at the nightly double. She likes books and sunsets just like me, she's so fun to be around and even though I just met her I feel like I could tell her everything. Darry has been so much more laid back since he met Selena, it's been so long since I've seen him this happy. I could get use to these girls being around
