39 - First Date On New Year's Eve

The days before Y/N's and Bakugo's first date to the fancy restaurant, Y/N had to work almost all day at her agency. Bakugo in the meantime trained and visited her at the agency once. Though Y/N wasn't there at the time due to some villain attack. Her assistant showed him around on instruction from her Boss Athena. Even though the boy showed no enthusiasm, he clearly was and still is impressed by his girlfriends hero agency. Everything looks so well put together and everyone is trying their best at their job. At the end of the tour, Bakugo was offered to train with some heroes at one of the gyms/ training halls. The boy of course accepted and trained with a few sidekicks and heroes. Y/N asks her assistant to take some pictures and videos of Bakugo in secret and send it to her. Of course for research, nothing else in the back of her mind... .

After those work loaded, stressful days, Y/N's finally is able to rest a bit, though not long since she has to get ready for her date with her boyfriend.

Bakugo stands outside his room and waits for Y/N to finish getting ready. He's ready to go and has a suit on, like the one he wore at the hero ball.

"Bakugo? Have you seen my earrings? The red ones?"

"Why the heck should I know where they are?"

"I don't know, maybe you've seen them around here somewhere."

"I haven't and are you ready soon? The reservation is at 9 p.m. right? It's already 7:50 p.m. and we need like an hour to get there."

"Yeah yeah, I'm almost ready just searching for those damn earrings"

"Why do you need them anyways?"

"Cause they go together perfectly with the dress"

"Can't you just use one of your quirks to find them?"

"Yeah true... But I didn't want to waste energy to find them... Buuuut I guess I have to."

She then uses one of their quirks and soon finds them. She puts them in and walks out of Bakugo's room. The boy standing outside looks at his girlfriend exiting the room. He's stunned at how beautiful Y/N looks.

"Let's get going, I can't wait"

"Yeah, let's go"

The two of them walk down the stairs and see Mitsuki and Masaru also getting ready for their date.

"Have fun you two on your date, but not too much fun. Katsuki wait"

Mitsuki then walks up to her son and fixes his suit and trousers.

"What the hell old hag?!"

"I'm just fixing your clothes you ungrateful brat!"

"Tch"

And after that Y/N and Bakugo leave for their date.

They then arrive at the restaurant, multiple people already waiting outside for their reservation or just to try their luck to get in, in case someone doesn't show up for their reservation so that they could take their spot instead. As soon as the security guard sees Y/N and her accompaniment, he let's them in. They have to enter the escalator and go up to the restaurant. After they arrive at the floor where the restaurant is located, a waiter then shows up and shows them to their table. They sit down and look at their surroundings. The both of them are seated right in front of the huge window and are looking over the city. It's a beautiful night, the sky is clear and the music is playing in the background. The waiter then hands them the menu card and asks what they wanna have to drink. They order and the waiter leaves.

"It's a beautiful night... I can't believe that in a few hours it's already a new year"

"Mh"

"It's nice here, don't you think? The view is really good, wait, I think I can even see my agency from here"

"Mh"

"... Are you mad at me?"

"What? Why the hell would I be mad at you?"

"I don't know... Cause I didn't really have time for you these last few days..."

"It's not that, it's really damn nothing okay?"

"Alright if you say so..."

Luckily their drinks soon arrive. They then pick their meal and order it. Not long after they get their food and they dig in.

"Woah, this food is delicious"

"It's not bad..."

Y/N smiles

"I'm glad... Anyways, back to the topic at hand, we didn't really have time to talk about your visit at my agency. I hope my assistant did a good job at showing you the place. Do you like it?"

"Wasn't that bad... It's alright"

"Sooo you like my agency?"

"... It's not total crap... So yeah"

"That's good to know... I can give you a card with that you can enter whenever you want, whether you wanna visit your awesome girlfriend or if you wanna train at one of the gyms."

"Thanks"

"No problem"

They continue to talk. Soon the clock hits 11 p.m. and Y/N then wants to pay. Though Bakugo is not quite fond of the idea that Y/N is the one paying and not him.

"Let me pay"

"What? No way, I gave you this date as a present, so I'll pay"

The waiter then hands the bill over and before Y/N can get to it, Bakugo snatches it away and looks at it. His soul almost leaves his body as he sees the price. Y/N gets the bill back, looks at it and pays. Her boyfriend staring at her. The waiter then wishes them a goodnight and a happy new year and then walks away.

"How the heck do 2 meals and drinks cost that much?!"

"It's an exclusive restaurant, of course it costs a lot, though I thought it would be more to be honest"

"I know this is a fancy restaurant, but this much?!"

"Calm down, it's almost new year... It's fine, come one, let's go"

The boy follows but isn't all too happy.

"Where are we going now?"

"You'll seeeeee~"

"... Why do I have a bad feeling about this..."

"Don't be so mean Bakugo"

"That's not fricking mean"

"Sureeee"

The boy rolls his eyes and they soon stand in front of a damn huge building.

"What the hell are we doing here"

"Oh you'll see it in a few minutes"

The two go in and get into an elevator that beings them to the highest floor. They exit the elevator and enter an apartment.

"What the heck is this place? And why are we here?"

"Oh you know when I told you I own a few apartments and so on... Wellllll this is one of them."
