nina's pov:

'wow, this is it.' I thought.

i couldn't believe i was back. last year was so tough. i missed everyone so much. especially fabian.

as i walked through the front door, I was greeted by trudy.

"nina, nice to see you! we missed you last year."

"yeah, I heard anubis is a college, now. so I just had to come back." i said.

"well, everyone else that has arrived is in there." trudy said, pointing to the living room.

i went into the room and i saw willow, alfie, jerome, and joy. but, no fabian or, weirdly mara.

"fabian not here yet? " i asked.

just then he walked through the door with mara, holding hands.

"n-nina?" fabian stuttered.

"fabian." I said.

"nice to see you mara." i said, trying not to act heartbroken.

"you too, nina. welcome back." she said, nervous.

"fabian, can we talk?" i asked him.

"sure, nina." he said.

"you're with mara? really, fabian?" i asked.

"look, nina. just because we dated for a while doesn't mean you can just waltz in here, and we can go back to the way it was before. you're the one who left! and don't insult mara!" he argued.

"excuse me? fabian, what's gotten into you?" i asked.

"me? what's gotten into you? have you really forgotten what we had? our spark? it's doing nothing for you?" i asked walking toward him.

"nothing." he told me. a test streaming down his face.

"this is because of mara, isn't it?" i asked.

"god, nina! can you forget about mara for two seconds?" he yelled.

"no, not really. because if you and her weren't together, we would be together. she's the problem!" i yelled.

"you know what, nina? i can't do this right now. i just can't." he said.

"fine." i said.

[back in the living room everyone was enjoying themselves. except fabian and nina, who were now hiding in their rooms from each other]

amber's pov:

i'm back. i'm really back. fashion school was fun and all, but i missed the guys back at anubis too much. so, when i heard anubis is a college now, i just had to come back.

as i walked through the front door, i was greeted by trudy.

"amber! welcome back to you too!" she told me.

"too? well, who else is here?" i asked.

"oh! nina's come back also!" she said.

"what? really?!" i exclaimed.

"where is she?" i asked.

"upstairs." she said.

i ran up the stairs, yes you heard that right. ran. in my 5 inch heels. but this is an exception.

i opened the door and there she was. crying her eyes out.

"nina?!" i asked.

"amber." she replied
