FROM THEO'S POV.
— I'M walking down the halls during dinner. this is usually the time no one's around, and i'm lucky enough to haven't crossed anyone yet.
that was, until i heard a familiar voice i wasn't looking forward to hearing. it was ivory's.
"what are you doing here?" she questioned, raising a brow. i hadn't noticed her until she'd spoken, but i didn't raise his head from the ground.
"just walking." i shrugged simply. "why aren't you at dinner?" she scoffed in wonder, crossing her arms. "i could ask you the same question." i snapped back.
"fair," she huffed in defeat, trying to study me. "but really, why not?"
"not hungry, and i wasn't really planning on talking to anyone. that's why i came to walk out here, but i am, talking to you." i commented.
"yeah, i don't really want to talk to anyone right now either." she agreed, nodding.
"pansy? and aiden?" i guessed, shooting a glare and a raised brow of wonder. she nodded in confirmation.
"pansy's just angry with me and aiden doesn't believe me. he texted me earlier and said that adam told him that i was the one who harassed him in the hallway." she explained to me.
as she spoke, i realized just how stupid aiden and his friend are, and how naive ivory is.
"i don't know why you're dating him." i blurted out, shaking my head in disapproval.
"pansy had the bright idea to tell him i liked him, so he asked me out. remember?" she said.
"that's not what i mean." i answered.
"i know... but it's not that easy. i-i felt bad, you know? he's too nice to be rejected." she sighed heavily, shrugging.
"still, it's a ridiculous match." i scoffed. "okay, well now you're reminding of why i didn't want to talk to anyone in the first place." she suddenly snapped at me, rolling her eyes. ivory whipped around and stormed off.
"you're the one who started talking to me, dumbass!" i shouted, not too loud. i don't know what had made me call her a dumbass, but it came out.
maybe i was offended that for once, i was being disrespected. but maybe i needed to be disrespected.
my reputation at hogwarts is only held high because my father demanded that i get respect and treated better than others.
